Sonakshi Sinha, a beloved figure in the entertainment industry, is preparing for a momentous event, i.e., her wedding, scheduled for June 23, 2024. The actress, known for her roles in various films, will be marrying her boyfriend, Zaheer Iqbal, after a seven-year relationship. However, this joyous occasion is marred by a reported disapproval from a significant part of Sonakshi's family. Earlier, her brother, Luv, and her father, Shatrughan Sinha, responded with a cold attitude when asked about the wedding. And now, a strange shift is observed in Sonakshi and her family's social media activity.
We recently stumbled upon a Reddit post that shed light on the complex dynamics within Sonakshi Sinha's family. It pointed out that Sonakshi's mother, Poonam Sinha, only follows six people on Instagram and all her family except her daughter. This seemed quite strange, as Sonakshi shares a close bond with her mother. Moreover, the actress' brother, Luv, doesn't follow her either on Instagram, hinting at a possible rift within the family.

Things got weirder when we noticed that Sonakshi, too, doesn't follow her mom and brother on IG. She follows more than 400 people on IG, and even follows her dad, Shatrughan Sinha and her other brother, Kussh but not her mother and her brother, Luv.
The post gained traction quickly, and people started to pour their views on the comment section. While a user wrote, "That's so sad and strange." Another well-wisher of the actress penned, "It takes a lot to go against your own family for your love. I hope everything goes well for both of them."

In an interview with Zoom, Sonkashi's uncle and close family friend, Pahlaj Nihalani, was asked if Shatrughan is upset about Sonakshi getting married to Zaheer. He replied that a parent cannot be angry with his/her children for long and added that Sonakshi is Shatrughan's laadli. There is no question about Shatrughan being upset or not attending the actress' wedding. He further added:
"Ha, but he can't remain upset for long, not with Sonakshi. She is his laadli. Shaadi nahin attend karne ka koi sawaal hi nahi paida hota. As Shatruji said to you, aaj kal ke bachche inform karte hain, permission nahin lete. Why should he be upset if Sonakshi is marrying the boy of her choice? Shatruji himself married a girl of his choice forty years ago. Even I chose my own life partner when I married my wife. One should not have unrealistic expectations from one's children."
