Sonakshi Sinha's Mom, Poonam Opens Up On Pregnancy Buzz Surrounding Actress, 'Nani Bana Dia Humko..'

Bollywood actress, Sonakshi Sinha is known for her playful videos with her husband, Zaheer Iqbal, on social media. The actress has often hogged the limelight for her pregnancy rumours related to the same. Now, Sonakshi's mother, Poonam Sinha, has reacted to the speculations around how many times the media has made her a nani because of the constant buzz related to Sonakshi's pregnancy.

It all started in 2025, when Sonakshi Sinha wore a red outfit at an event in Mumbai, which created a lot of pregnancy buzz. Many speculated that the actress was expecting her first child with her husband, Zaheer Iqbal. Sonakshi's mom, Poonam, reacted to the speculation and in an interview with Instant Bollywood said:

"Pata nahi kitni baar nani bana diya humko. Lekin chalo, woh khushi bhi humko milegi, zaroor milegi woh khushi."

Sonakshi Sinha had attended a highly prolific Diwali party in 2025 with Zaheer Iqbal. When she posed in her traditional outfits, everyone thought that she was pregnant. Poonam Sinha has already been baffled by how many times she has been made a grandmother. She also remembered, in the interview, the time when Sonakshi was born, and it was like the best moment of the actress's life. Poonam revealed:

"Woh moment toh sabse accha moment tha humari life ka jab humare ghar mein betiya aayi. Mujhe lagta hai zindagi betiya ke bagair kuch hai hi nahi. Betiya ka hona bahut zaruri hai."

When Sonakshi Sinha slammed pregnancy rumours

Sonakshi had also taken to her social media handle to debunk all the pregnancy rumours. She had written on her Instagram post about the world record holder for the longest pregnancy in human history (16 months and counting, according to our lovely and hyper-intelligent media), simply for posing with a hand around the midsection. A part of her sarcastic post also spoke about scrolling to the last slide for their reactions and then dazzle during Diwali. Well, this is not the first time that Sonakshi has faced such speculation. Earlier, there were also controversies surrounding the actress's expected first baby. She had just mentioned to her fans that she had just gained weight after her marriage and had blamed Zaheer for overfeeding her.

Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal were in a relationship for seven years before they decided to tie the knot on June 23, 2024, under the Special Marriage Act. The couple had an intimate civil ceremony, followed by a star-studded celebration. The actress had penned a dreamy post from her wedding reception where she spoke about being blessed to have Zaheer in her life. Her note read:

"What a day! The love, the laughter, the togetherness, the excitement, the warmth, the support from every one of our friends, families and teams… it was like the universe came together for two people in love to give them exactly what they’ve always hoped, wished and prayed for  If this is not divine intervention… we dont know what is We are both truly blessed to have each other and so much love protecting us."

For the unversed, according to multiple social media reports, Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal reportedly met at one of Salman Khan's parties. This was back in 2013. However, it was only in 2017, during one of the after-party celebrations for Salman's movie, Tubelight, that both of them felt a spark for one another. Zaheer and Sonakshi started talking for hours, and the rest is history.
