Somya Seth Of 'Navya' Wore Rani Pink Saree And Traditional Jewellery For Her 'Godh Bharai' Ceremony

Former television actress, Somya Seth is in seventh heaven as her life is finally taking shape. She is beaming with joy as she is all set to welcome her second child. For the unversed, Somya had moved to the US a few years ago and re-started a new chapter in her career as a real estate agent. Recently, she was in India, and her family hosted a Godh Bharai ceremony in her honour.

Somya Seth's Godh Bharai ceremony

On April 25, 2025, Somya took to her Instagram handle and posted a glimpse from her intimate Godh Bharai ceremony in India. For those who don't know, Godh Bharai is a traditional baby shower, wherein the elders in the family shower blessing on the to-be-mother and her baby.

For the ceremony, Somyawore a rani pink-hued saree. She hid her baby bump in open pallu. She accessorised her look with a traditional neckpiece, matching earrings and kadas. Subtle makeup and hair left open completed her look. Along with the photo, Somyapenned how her one-week trip to India flew by in a flash, with every moment planned in advance. She wrote:

"Can’t imagine how quickly the week flew by. Just 1 week in India. Every morning, afternoon and night was eventful. Every minute was planned months in advance. #Godbharai."

When Somyaannounced her second pregnancy

Somyahas been through some of the toughest times, but she has built herself and transformed her life with a successful real estate business in the US. She even got married for the second time and gave love another chance with Shubham Chuhadia in June 2024. Later, in April 2025, Somya announced her second pregnancy.

Somya wore a dark grey bodycon dress in the video with cap sleeves. The dress perfectly showed off her fully-grown baby bump. In the clip, the trio turned and pointed at Somya's baby bump, hinting that the second child was on the way. Along with the video, Somya wrote:

"Soon, we'll be a party of four. Our hearts are full, our hands will be even fuller—and we wouldn't have it any other way!!"

Somya and Shubham's love story

Somya Seth tied the knot with Shubham Chuhadia in an intimate wedding on June 22, 2023. In an interview with Bombay Times, she shared her love story and revealed that they were housemates, and soon became good friends. However, they formed a strong bond during the pandemic and decided to be together. She was quoted as saying:

"From housemates, we became friends, and we grew close during the tough pandemic times and then decided to be together ever since. His being part of my life has been like kintsugi. He is 'The One' is not a one-day feeling instead, it’s my everyday feeling."

Somya was earlier married to US-based businessman, Arun Kapoor, and they tied the knot in a traditional ceremony at the Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort on January 15, 2017. The couple soon welcomed their son, Ayden Kapoor. However, their wedding was short-lived, and they parted ways in 2019. Somya had once revealed that she faced domestic violence in her first marriage and had suicidal thoughts during her first pregnancy.
