The main and most primitive aim of marriage is to procreate and the processes leading up to it were once seen upon as the main source of recreation for many. But as better and more diverse lifestyles evolve, an increasing number of couples, especially the female spouses are relegating the carnal activities to a back burner.

The most basic step towards saving the relationship in these contexts would be to understand that:

  • The other person also has needs and drives that if left unfulfilled can lead to mounting disappointments
  • Different people express love in a different way. Women need vocal assurances of love while the men understand the other language better.
  • There may be hectic work schedules at office, especially during month end, and forcing your partner to get into the act and getting frustrated when he or she is unable to live up to your expectations, will only lead to dismounting relationships.
  • Frequent consummation of marriage is as important as your other chores at home or office. Hence plan your schedule in a way that does not leave it out of the priority list.
  • The marriage is based on love, trust, care and understanding. Ruining it merely for the basest human desires is not at all the thing to do.

No baggage from the past

If you have had bad experience in these matters in your past relationship, then it is time you let go of the same and let it not hamper your marriage.
