The National Dog Show aired on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 2025, on NBC. After the 'Best in Breed' selected the best in group from seven groups, one dog was crowned the 'Best in Show'. And taking home the crown this year is Soleil, the Belgian Sheepdog.

The Belgian Sheepdog won the 'Best in Show' title and the massive cash prize, really making it a happy Thanksgiving for her handler. Soleil's handler, Daniel Martin, spoke with NBC Sports about his victorious fur baby and revealed that Soleil loves the energy and will do whatever she is asked to. Even the Belgian Sheepdog herself looked pretty happy with the big win. Daniel Martin was quoted as saying:

"Soleil loves the energy, and she feels it. That's her magic. She'll do whatever we ask of her. She's a winner."

Who hosts the 2025 National Dog Show?

Actor and comedian, John O'Hurley, and beloved Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show host, David Frei, returned as hosts this year. The pair is known for their impeccable hosting skills, keeping the audience engaged and the mood of the National Dog Show light and free-spirited. The pair was joined by co-host, Mary Carillo, an NBC sports analyst and former professional tennis player.

Who won the National Dog Show in 2024?

Vito, a pug, won 'Best in Show' at last year's National Dog Show. The dog also earned a USD 20,000 prize along with the title. According to Today.com, Vito is a "veteran of the dog show circuit." He is the No. 1 pug in all show systems and the No. 2 toy dog in America. The 2024 segment of the annual dog show marked his 25th Best in Show prize. Vito's handler is Michael Scott of Chesapeake City, Maryland, and his owner is Carolyn Koch of Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
