Soldiers Killed In Jammu's Terror Attack Were All Set To Get Married, Families Left Inconsolable

In a tragic turn of events, Captain Karamjit Singh Bakshi and Naik Mukesh Singh Manhas passed away in a terrorist attack. The families were left devastated as they were planning for their marriages.

Soldiers Killed In Jammu's Terror Attack Were All Set To Get Married, Families Left Inconsolable

The family home of Karamjit Singh Bakshi and Naik Mukesh Singh Mahans were preparing for their weddings when grief knocked on their door. In a tragic turn of events, the two brave soldiers of the Indian Army, Captain Karamjit and Naik Mukesh, lost their lives in an IED explosion triggered by terrorists on the Line Of Control in the Akhnoor sector on February 11, 2025.

The wall of sorrows has broken in Mukesh's home in Kamila village, Samba district. The 27-year-old's family was eagerly preparing for his wedding, which was scheduled for April 2025. His father, Chagatar Singh, revealed how his son was keen to join the Army since he was a child.

Mukesh had served in Ladakh, Punjab, and Kashmir before moving to Akhnoor. The soldier returned to his duty on January 28, 2025, after finishing the housework for his wedding. The news of Mukesh's death sent shockwaves in the entire village. His mortal remains reached his village, and the family performed the final rites. His father revealed:

"Mukesh wanted to join the Army since his childhood and was very fond of cricket. He had served in Ladakh, Punjab, and Kashmir before moving to Akhnoor. He returned to his duty on January 28 after completing the housework for his wedding. He was supposed to marry in April, around the 20th or 21st."

Captain Karamjit Singh Bakshi, who was also set to get married in April 2025, suffered a huge loss. The 29-year-old from Jharkhand's Ranchi had been preparing for his wedding. He returned to duty after completing the preparation for his marriage. His family, who were awaiting the wedding, are now mourning the unimaginable loss. 

Karamjit was the only son who had left his home in Hazaribagh after his engagement with a medical officer in the Indian Army. Everyone in Hazaribagh is in shock after Karamjit's attack. His fiance was posted in Jammu, where the function was supposed to take place.
