But reports claim that the wedding has been permanently called off now, alleging that Palaash cheated on Smriti. However, hours before their wedding was to take place, it was reported that her father, Shriniwas Mandhana, was hospitalised after suffering a heart attack. The wedding was postponed as a result. After being cared for in the hospital for two days, he was discharged on November 25, 2025, reported Amar Ujala. But within these two days, with Smriti and Palaash's wedding drama reaching intense heights, the temporary postponement of the marriage ceremony might have turned into a permanent cancellation.

Smriti and Palaash's wedding festivities had been as per schedule, starting with the engagement announcement, haldi, mehendi, sangeet, etc. However, Smriti's father falling ill on the day of the wedding had derailed the schedule. This was also the starting point of the drama surrounding her wedding to Palaash. Following this, Palaash was also said to have been hospitalised due to being worried about his fiancée's father's health. Soon after, Smriti reportedly deleted all her Instagram posts related to the wedding. People had first speculated that she might have done this to repel nazar, but now shocking allegations against Palaash have been aired. 

A girl named Mary D'Costa shared screenshots of flirty messages that she allegedly received from Palaash Muchhal. According to speculations, she is a choreographer by profession and was also supposed to teach Palaash and Smriti dance numbers for their wedding. Reddit users, who claimed to have inside knowledge of the situation, shared that Palaash was also seen getting cosy with a girl. After Smriti's father came to know about his infidelity, he confronted his to-be-son-in-law. During the quarrel, Shriniwas suffered a heart attack and was admitted to the hospital. Even though he is back from the hospital, several Redditors claim that the wedding has been completely called off.

It is important to note that all the information is speculation from Reddit users and has not been confirmed. The authenticity of Mary D'Costa's text exchange with Palaash has neither been proven nor disproven as well. Hence, amid this complex situation, official statements from the Mandhana and Muchhal families are awaited.
