Popular model, singer and host, Sushant Divgikar needs no introduction as he represented India in Mr Gay World 2014 and had come out victorious against 45 countries. Sushant is also the first Indian to have won 2 group titles and three individual titles at Mr Gay World 2014. However, his success hadn't stopped there only as he had also participated in Bigg Boss season 8 and had made everyone fall in love with him.

In his recent conversation with Maniesh Paul on his YouTube channel, Sushant Divgikar opened up about his mother's epic reply to people who asked her about his gender and him being a transgender person.

In the latest episode of Maniesh Paul's podcast on his YouTube channel, Sushant Divgikar made his way on the show and shared some never-heard-before confessions about his personal life and journey of coming out as a transgender person. In his conversation with Maniesh, he talked about his mother's response to people whenever they talk about his gender. Sushant revealed that every time a person raises an eyebrow about his gender, his mother clearly stated that she is lucky to have both son and daughter in the same child. The epic response not only left the podcast's host, Maniesh, but every viewer stunned, as it shows how supportive Sushant's mom was towards him being a transgender. He said:

"I mean a lot of things happened and I got to know about myself, then I realised that you know, I am not a man or a woman. And then my mother keeps saying when she speaks with her friends or people. I am so lucky that I have a daughter and a son in the same child. So it was quite emotional. When I shared it with her. It was an emotional journey for her."

Going further in the conversation, Sushant Divgikar, also known as Rani Ko He Noor (nickname given to her by her fans and community), shared the impact of his mother's guidance in his life and how her teachings had helped him in his personal journey. Sushant also explained how people should address a transgender person and what is the most important thing that needs to be present in their way of addressing them. He explained:

"And she is the one who taught me that you have to be strong and you have to be true to yourself. So then I realised that okay I am a transgender person. Which means you can call me he, she, they, them. I have three pronouns, you can address me by, just whatever you use, it should have love and respect."

In the same podcast, Maniesh Paul also asked Sushant Divgikar to reveal when was the first time when he had come out as a trans in front of the world and how difficult it was for him. Answering this, Sushant revealed that it was when he was 18 and had got nominated for Best Anchor in a reality show Award at the Indian Television Academy Awards for his show, Atyachaar Ka Punchnama. He said:

"I was out of the closet when I was 18 years old. When I did my first show, it was nominated with you. That is around that time 18-19. And then, I did a lot of TV shows. Then I entered in Bigg Boss too, I went as Sushant. Even then I represented India on an international level and won international award. But what did I get? Abuses."

On the professional front, Sushant Divgikar was last seen as a contestant in the famous singing reality show, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa in 2018.
