The fad of Botox and fillers among celebrities might be dying down, as newer, more bizarre trends for looking younger have hit the market. From using snail slime as a moisturiser to getting salmon sperm injections, the socialites have lately found some of the strangest ways for skin rejuvenation. Popular media personality Simon Cowell, however, has taken the cake with his recent revelation that he gets his blood 'rinsed and filtered'.
Simon Cowell is 66 years old now, but he still looks the same as he did when he appeared as a judge on American Idol in 2002. The popular reality TV star revealed in an interview with The Sun that his youthfulness is all thanks to eating healthier and getting his blood 'rinsed and filtered'. And it is exactly what it sounds like. Simon said he frequently visits a 'wellness clinic' where they take his blood, rinse it, filter it, and put it back into his body.

Simon also stated he has taken tests to determine his body's age. He claimed that the results showed that he had aged backwards. Even at 66, Simon says that he still has the energy. Although Simon did not name the exact medical terminology used for the blood rinse and filter procedure, News18 reported that the process might be called apheresis. The former X Factor judge shared:
“I go to this place, this wellness clinic, where they actually take your blood, they rinse it, they filter it, and then they put it back into your body. You do all these tests, and they tell you your age, so I’ve actually aged backwards by eating better, more exercise, less stress, and certain supplements. My brain is still there, I still have the energy."
Cryogenic freezing is a process in which, after a person is pronounced legally dead, their body can be preserved at an extremely low temperature. This is done in hopes that, after science becomes advanced enough to revive the dead, the frozen body of the deceased can also be brought back to life. Wild rumours have always floated around that many global celebrities opt for this following their deaths in the future. In the same interview, Simon Cowell revealed that he was interested in cryonics. However, he read somewhere that in this process, the deceased is decapitated and then will 'come back in 2,000 years as a floating head'. Since then, Simon dropped the idea of getting frozen after passing away.

A recent report by Reality Tea stated that Simon's friends and dear ones are worried about him over an alleged 'plastic surgery addiction'. According to the insider, since he has made a career out of TV appearances, Simon is very conscious about how he comes across on screen and wants to look flawless. However, although Simon Cowell has admitted to getting Botox and fillers, he has denied undergoing any major aesthetic surgeries.
