Popular Punjabi singer and Congress leader, Sidhu Moose Wala had left for the heavenly abode after he was shot in Mansa district on May 29, 2022. It is reported that 30 rounds of fire were shot at him, and the killing had taken place a day after his security was taken down by the state government. Moose Wala's killing had triggered a massive political uproar.
Born as Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu and better known as Sidhu Moose Wala was an actor, rapper, singer and politician. He had gained wide attention with his popular track, 'So High'. Known for his controversial lyrics and promoting gun culture, Moose Wala was named by The Guardian among 50 up and coming artists in 2020. The singer, who was a member of the Indian National Congress had faced many legal issues for using inciting lyrics in his songs.

After the news of Sidhu Moose Wala's death, his mother, Charan Kaur is inconsolable and is demanding justice for her son. Her last wish to see Sidhu married is left unfilled. She was preparing for Sidhu's marriage since January 2022, and in one of her interviews, Charan Kaur had mentioned that her son would soon get married and had also revealed that it was a love marriage. The singer was engaged and was all set to get married soon.
Sidhu Moose Wala was very close to his mother and had often dedicated songs to her. On May 15, 2022, the singer had posted a picture of his mother on his IG handle and had penned an adorable birthday wish for her and had written:
"Happy Birthday Maa."

Sidhu's industry friends are in deep shock after the untimely demise of the 28-year-old singer. Actress Shehnaaz Gill, who was deeply saddened by Sidhu's death had tweeted:
"Kise da jawaan dhee ya putt es duniya toh chala jaave, es toh vadda dukh koi nhi ho sakda duniya te. Waheguruji mehar kareyo #sidhumoosewala."
As per various reports, Sidhu was attacked when he had left in his car for a concert in Gurugram. The attackers sired 30 rounds at him and his two associates and by the time, he was taken to the hospital, Sidhu was already dead. An FIR was filed by Sidhu's father, Balkour Singh, where he had mentioned that the singer was getting extortion and threat calls from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
