The tragic death of Popular Punjabi singer and Congress leader, Sidhu Moose Wala on May 29, 2022, shocked the entire nation. And now, on his first death anniversary, his mother pays her respect for her doting son, who was killed mercilessly.
Glimpses of Sidhu Moose Wala’s mother, Charan Kaur are doing rounds on social media, where she was seen kneeling and offering salute at the exact location where Sidhu was killed by the gangsters. Charan Kaur was seen crying her heart out as she paid respect to her son.

As per various reports, Sidhu was attacked when he left in his car for a concert in Gurugram on May 29, 2022. The attackers fired 30 rounds at him and his two associates and by the time, he was taken to the hospital, Sidhu was already dead. After Sidhu's murder, within a few hours, Canada-based gangster, Goldy Brar confirmed that he was the one behind it. He had taken to his Facebook account and had penned a long note. He had also mentioned that his close associates, Lawrence Bishnoi and Sachin Bishnoi Dhattaranwali were also involved in it.
On July 17, 2022, a life-size statue of Sidhu Moose Wala was unveiled by his father, Balkaur Singh at Mansa village, where the late singer’s last rites were performed. While unveiling the statue, Balkaur Singh broke down and hugged the 6.5 feet statue. The late singer’s mother, Charan Kaur was also present there and cried her heart out while holding the arm of the statue.

Speaking with The Times of India, Balkaur Singh poured his heart out on the untimely demise of his son and said:
“I can't bear to see my son as a statue at 28. We wait for justice. The killers, whether sitting on foreign soil or here, should be punished. Why give security to someone who claims openly that he killed Moose Wala?”
Born as Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu and better known as Sidhu Moose Wala was an actor, rapper, singer and politician. He had gained wide attention with his popular track, So High. Known for his controversial lyrics and promoting gun culture, Moose Wala was named by The Guardian among 50 up-and-coming artists in 2020. The singer, who was a member of the Indian National Congress had faced many legal issues for using inciting lyrics in his songs.
For the unversed, the singer was shot a day after his security was taken down by the state government.
