Sidharth Malhotra is one of the most handsome and talented actors in the film industry. The talented hunk has mesmerised everyone with his brilliant performances. From hard core action films, to patriotic movies and romantic portrayals, Sidharth has etched a mark in the hearts of his fans with his acting chops. Despite being a complete outsider to the film industry, he has cemented his name among the most sought-after actors of his age. In his personal life, Sidharth is married to his wifey and actress, Kiara Advani.
In an interaction on News18’s Rising Bharat Summit, Sidharth Malhotra walked down memory lane and recalled how and when he earned his first-ever salary. He remarked that it was an acting agency that encouraged him to take up acting. Sidharth added that he was barely 20-21 years old, when he used to do modelling for designer clothes. Later on, he did an advertisement campaign for the cell phone company, Samsung, which fetched him his first-ever salary of somewhere around Rs. 2500-Rs. 3000. In his words:

“That journey has its own hardships. It wasn’t this easy. I was 20-21 years old when I went for an audition on the recommendation of an agency. They had seen my face in the paper. I used to do fashion modeling, walks, so my photograph would appear in the paper in designer clothes. I had done an advertisement for a Samsung mobile campaign. They wanted a girl and a boy. My first pay cheque was of Rs 2500 or Rs 3000. Uss waqt humare waqt ki itni hi keemat thi.”

Moving forth in the conversation, Sidharth Malhotra stated that back during his time, people like him who aspired to become actors, would end up arriving at production houses to learn the craft as an assistant director. Similar was the case for Sidharth, who revealed that he ended up bagging the position of an AD in Karan Johar’s set for the film, My Name Is Khan. He shared:
“I went straight to production houses, not as an actor but Assistant Director. I made that shift. Those three months determined my path today. I met teams of ADs, who were working in big films. If there are 5 ADs in a film, then the 5th one would be an intern, which means that he doesn’t get paid well or doesn’t get paid at all. I was vouching for that part. I got a film My Name Is Khan. Out of 8 ADs, I was something in the middle, on the 5th spot.”
Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani’s real-life romance blossomed on the sets of their first film together, Shershaah. Previously, during an interview with Pinkvilla, the actor answered the much-awaited request of his fans of seeing him collaborating with his wifey, Kiara again on-screen. To this, the actor remarked that while he would want to work with Kiara again. Nevertheless, it ultimately depended on the filmmakers to cast them together. Moreover, at the end of it, Sidharth remarked that he would definitely take the proposal back home to his wifey, Kiara Advani.

Earlier, during a media interaction right after his marriage, Sidharth Malhotra cutely addressed his wifey, Kiara Advani as his most prized treasure. Moreover, he shared a few tidbits about his married life and remarked the most valued learning he has ever gotten from the same. He said:
“Marriage is also a game. I have realised that there is no ‘I’ in a marriage. There is only ‘we’. That is life."
