Recently, Raja Chaudhary sat for an interview with ETimes, wherein he opened up about his battle with alcoholism. Raja further revealed that he has to continuously push himself to be on the right track, and since 2021, he has been living a sober life, which made him think straight and live a calm life. He also talked about the importance of living a sober life and shared that when a person isn't sober, they lose the ability to think straight, and one might end up making some decision, that he or she would regret later. In Raja's words:

"Thankfully, I've overcome it, though it remains a daily challenge. I have to push myself to stay on track. Since 2021, I've been living a sober life, and I can think more clearly, stay calmer, and be happier now. When you’re not sober, your mind doesn’t function as it should, and you make decisions that you might regret later."

Raja Chaudhary talks about making mistakes in the past and shares how his family backed him during his tough time

In the same interview, Shweta's ex-hsuband Raja Chaudhary talked about his family's contribution to his battle with alcoholism. He shared that no matter what, one lives for his/her family, and if the members of the family aren't happy for that individual, then one needs to change. Raja further shared that when he was able to understand and address his mistakes, then he could start working on himself. He further stated that his family has backed him through thick and thin. Raja mentioned that if he could go back to the past, the only thing he would want to change was his addiction to alcohol. Accepting that alcoholism disrupted his life, Raja revealed:

"Ultimately, you live for your family, and when they’re not happy with you, it makes you realise you need to change. Once I acknowledged my mistakes and decided to surrender, I was able to work on myself. My family has been with me through it all, offering their moral support. If I could change one thing about my past, it would be never to have touched alcohol. It disrupted my life, and I didn’t handle situations the way I should have."
