Aishwarya Rai's sister-in-law, Shrima Rai, has broken her silence about the ongoing speculation regarding her relationship with the former. The speculations started after Shweta Bachchan Nanda sent Shrima flowers amid Aishwarya's rumoured separation from Abhishek Bachchan. Not long ago, Shrima also gave a fiery reply to a social media user asking about Aishwarya and Aaradhya's missing photos on her Instagram feed.
Shrima Rai took to her Instagram handle on November 28, 2024, and shared a note titled 'Facts'. The blogger-content creator clarified the context of the flowers she received from Shweta Bachchan Nanda and shared that it was her birthday on November 21, 2024. Shrima further revealed that she thanked everyone who had sent her flowers with a social media post.

She further revealed that she was a banker in Wealth Management for several years before transitioning to blogging in 2017. Shrima also shared that she has built an independent career and finds it in 'poor taste' when people try to manipulate reality. She added that her husband, mother-in-law, and parents can vouch for her truth and that it is very important for her to keep her name clean.
The speculations started when a Reddit user shared screenshots of Shrima Rai's response to a social media user who questioned the content creator about Aishwarya Rai and Aaradhya Bachchan being missing from her social media feed. Shrima had given a befitting reply to users mentioning Aishwarya and Aaradhya, which had raised eyebrows. These responses gave rise to the speculation that Aishwarya is not liked by either of her sisters-in-laws. One user wrote:
"So, it’s not speculation, Ash is disliked by both Shweta and Shrima."
Earlier in November 2024, Srima Rai shared a picture on her Instagram story, thanking Shweta Bachchan and Nikhil Nanda for sending her flowers. The reason, however, was unknown at the time, starting rumours about her turbulent relationship with the actress. For the unversed, there have been reports claiming that Shweta and Aishwarya share a tense relationship. Their worsening relationship several times has also been labelled the cause of Aishwarya living in a separate section at Jalsa and later even moving out.
