Shreyas Talpade, Alok Nath Booked In High Profile Cheating Case, All Details Inside

Bollywood actors, Shreyas Talpade and Alok Nath are in a legal mess. This is because their names have emerged in a cheating and breach of trust matter. The case has been registered at Murthal police station, which is located in Haryana’s Sonipat district. It was on January 22, 2025, when the FIR was lodged. Among the 13 accused, Shreyas and Alok's names have emerged.

Shreyas Talpade and Alok Nath's involvement in a cheating case

According to a News 18 report, Shreyas and Alok, apart from the 13 people, have been booked under Sections 316 (2), 318 (2), and 318 (4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The charges levied on them include cheating, property transfer via deception, and breach of trust, to name a few. Now, the Additional Commissioner of Police (ACP), Ajeet Singh, has told The Print that the names of the actors were included in the list shared by the complainant when the statement was filed with the police. The ACP said:

"The main complaint is against the society that is alleged to have duped people of their money by luring them to invest. We will have to investigate what role, if any, is ascribed to Shreyas Talpade and Alok Nath."

To talk about the case of Vipul Antil, a resident from Sonipat filed a complaint against the Human Welfare Credit Cooperative Society. It is registered under the Multi-State Cooperative Society Act of 2002 in Indore. He said that the society, since September 16, 2016, has been active in many states, including Haryana. The society reportedly gave RD and FD schemes and promised to give high returns. However, they used a multi-level marketing scheme that gave agents incentives to get more investors.

When Shreyas Talpade reacted to death hoax

It was on December 13, 2024, when Shreyas got a next-to-nose heart attack. His wife, Deepti Talpade, had rushed him to the hospital. The actor had thought he was clinically dead as they were stuck in a traffic jam. False reports claimed that the actor passed away. He had responded to the death hoax and requested people not to spread rumours. In a heartfelt emotional post, Shreyas assured his fans that he was happy, alive and healthy. He expressed his sadness and said that what started off as a joke caused worry and distress to his entire family. His post read:

"Dear All, I want to assure everyone that I am ALIVE, HAPPY, and HEALTHY. I've become aware of a viral post claiming my demise. While I understand that humour has its place, when it's misused, it can cause real harm. What may have started as a joke by someone, is now creating unnecessary worry and playing with the emotions of those who care about me, especially my family."

Workwise, the actor was last seen in Kangana Ranaut's Emergency. The film is set when an emergency was declared in India from 1975 to 1977. The freedom of the press was censored along with civil liberties. The movie apart from Shreyas also has  Milind Soman, Mahima Chaudhry, Anupam Kher, the late actor Satish Kaushik, Vishak Nair.
