Pakistani cricketer, Shoaib Malik once again proved that he's a doting son, who never misses a chance to remember his father, who is no longer with him. The ace batsman paid a visit to his gravestone and posted a picture from the same, along with a super-emotional caption on his social media handle. Shoaib Malik's father had passed away on January 25, 2006, due to prolonged illness.
On April 12, 2010, Indian Tennis star, Sania Mirza and Pakistani cricketer and former captain, Shoaib Malik had said qubool hai in a private wedding ceremony. Since then, they have stood with each other through thick and thin, despite being targeted for each other's performances.

On July 9, 2021, Shoaib Malik took to his Instagram handle and shared a touching picture in which we can see him standing in front of his late father, late Malik Saleem Hussain's gravestone. The doting son looked emotional while paying respect and love to his father, whom he is missing a lot. Along with this picture, Shoaib penned a teary-eyed note in the caption, in which he called his father a 'shining star'. His note can be read as "My father, my hero, my shining star, wish you were here with me. Miss you Abbu Jaan. Your son."
Last year, when Shoaib Malik had become only the third Pakistani batsman to reach the incredible milestone of scoring 10,000 runs in T20 cricket, after scoring 47 against Balochistan, the cricketer had missed his father. Soon after the match, Shoaib had taken to his Twitter handle and had thanked his team members, coaches, family, and fans. However, the all-rounder had talked about his father's presence. The doting son had also added that he always calls his mother, Sultana Malik, before his match to seek her blessings.

An excerpt from Shoaib Malik's tweet could be read as "I would like to congratulate the people of Pakistan as I am the first Asian cricketer to have reached this milestone of making 10,000 runs in T20 cricket. I wish my father was alive today as he would've been very happy, but that's how life is. Whenever I go to the ground, I always call my mother before a match & get her prayers. Also, a big thank you at the same time to all my fellow players, ground staff members, fans and supporters."
Shoaib Malik isn't only a doting son, but also a responsible and caring father and husband, who never misses a chance to spend time with his son, Izhaan Mirza Malik and wife, Sania Mirza. It was in September 2020 when Sania and Izhaan had reunited with Shoaib in Dubai, and since then, they have been giving glimpses of their family moments on respective social media handles. From gazing at the Dubai skyline, while holding each other's hands to celebrating special occasions, or home-schooling Izhaan, the lovely couple made the most of their family time in Dubai.

Shoaib Malik and Sania Mirza got married on April 12, 2010, and embraced parenthood on October 30, 2018, after their son, Izhaan's birth.
