Shilpa Shetty Kundra is a popular name in Bollywood, who is well-known for her fitness regime and elegant dance moves. Owing to her stardom, her personal life has always been in the limelight. Shilpa married businessman, Raj Kundra in February 2009 after dating him for two years. Before tying the knot with the actress, Raj was married to the daughter of a businessman, Kavita. Reportedly, after Raj’s marriage to Shilpa, his ex-wife, Kavita accused the actress of being a homewrecker.
In an earlier interview with Daily Mail, Kavita opened up about her feelings on her ex-husband, Raj Kundra’s marriage to Shilpa Shetty. She blamed the actress for breaking her marriage with Raj and tagged her as a hombreaker. Kavita also claimed that when she was trying to sort out her marriage with Raj, he only talked about Shilpa. She was quoted as saying:
"I look at the pictures of them together and think, she’s with my husband, she’s living my life. While I was trying to put our marriage back together, he was talking constantly about Shilpa, as if it didn’t matter what happened to us because he had found someone better, cleverer and more famous than me. Now he has begun pestering me for a divorce. I asked him if he planned to marry someone else but he avoided the question."

Later, in an interview with Hello Magazine, Shilpa Shetty commented on the accusations levied on her and gave a strong reaction. The actress revealed that the tag of homewrecker given to her made her feel physically ill as it was the worst thing possible. Shilpa also claimed that she had strictly told Raj that they couldn't be more than friends until he got his divorce. She said:
“I’m no home wrecker. I made it clear to him that our relationship could go no further than friendship until he had his divorce. It actually made me feel physically ill. To be called a marriage-breaker was the worst thing possible. It brought such shame on to my parents, and I felt so bad for their sake."
Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty kept denying the rumours of their relationship for months. However, in December 2007, in an interview with Daily Mail, Shilpa confirmed that they were seeing each other but claimed that she didn't play any part in Raj's divorce from Kavita. She was heard saying:
"I was really upset by what she said. She knew very well that I didn't even know her husband when she walked out on him. I didn't even know him when I went into Big Brother. I have known him for about only six months, which was four months after his wife had left home and he had already got a divorce by then."

Even Raj Kundra was so shocked at his ex-wife, Kavita's comments that he publicly apologised to Shilpa and her family for it. Earlier, in an interview with Pinkvilla, Raj claimed that Kavita had an affair with his brother-in-law when the latter came to live with them in London for a while. He further added that he caught Kavita cheating on him after he found the text message exchange between her and his brother-in-law. So, Raj decided to separate from her. The businessman also added that he has been denied meeting his daughter from the first marriage, who was just 40 days old at that time.
Fast forward to today, Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra are going strong even after 15 years of marriage and are blessed with two kids, Viaan and Samisha.
