Shilpa Shetty Kundra is known for staying relevant over the years. She made her Bollywood debut with Baazigar in 1993. While the world went gaga over her looks and patli kamar, Shilpa had difficulty carving her own niche. However, her life changed after she won Bigg Boss UK in 2007. The world loved her and the ways she maintained herself in the show and off it. Apart from her career, Shilpa is loved for her fitness regime. But there was a time in her life when she was brutally body-shamed for gaining weight.
Recently, in an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Shilpa recalled the time when she was brutally trolled for gaining weight. It happened right after she delivered her first son, Viaan Raj Kundra. Shilpa had gained weight during her pregnancy. The actress recalled that she didn't lose weight for eight months as she didn't want to, but as she is in the glamour world, people bashed her.

Shilpa further added that the moment she decided to lose weight, it only took her three months. Shilpa was quoted as saying:
"It was my business to be glamorous, and people couldn’t understand how I had not lost weight for nearly eight months after my child. It’s because I did not want to lose weight and also I didn’t pay any attention to it. But the day I decided to, I lost it in three months. But logon ka kaam hai kehna (it’s people’s job to talk). You can’t change how people think and you can’t take them too seriously."
During the same interview, Shilpa also talked about people's opinions on her being a working mom. She clearly stated that she doesn't pay attention to what other people have to say as they are not running her life. She revealed that she tries to balance and be the best mother that she can be.
