Shilpa Shetty Kundra is a powerhouse of energy and talents, and there can be no second thoughts about the same. The diva has swooned a zillion hearts with her lively performances, gorgeous looks and perfectly enviable physique. Well, apart from being just a scintillating persona on the silver screens, Shilpa has, also time and again, proven her multi-tasking abilities. For the unversed, she also happens to be a yoga trainer, restaurateur and businesswoman.
In a recent interaction with Zoom, Shilpa Shetty opened up about an altogether different angle of her professional feat, and talked about her passion for business and investment. The actress remarked that she has been managing her father’s business since the age of 17, and had to take up commerce as a result. Fast forward to now, Shilpa revealed that she has proudly invested the promising popular skincare brand, MamaEarth, which initially had a turnout of Rs. 35 crore. Adding how she, over the years, has changed her way of approaching brand endorsements, Shilpa said:
“When I decided to put my money in brands like MamaEarth-this company was valued at some Rs 35 crore. Today it’s at Rs 11,000 crore and it becomes a unicorn. I have made several investments now. Earlier, actors would take money and endorse a brand, and not want a stake in the company. I decided that I’d rather be fully invested and have a stake in the pie and then see how it does.”
