Shilpa Shetty And Raj Kundra Support Shamita Shetty After She Got Trolled For Misbehaving With A Fan

In Mumbai, it is quite common to spot Bollywood celebrities at restaurants, gyms and salons, every now and then. And likewise, it is common for celebrities to pose for a quick selfie for their fans. On February 17, 2019, Shamita Shetty was asked for a selfie by a star-struck female fan, who couldn’t get the hold of her phone for the picture out of nervousness. This made Shamita grab the phone herself and take a quick selfie, which everyone thought to be rude and arrogant. For this, Shamita faced a lot of hate comments by trollers, who blamed her for mistreating her fan. Check out the video and some comments which criticised Shamita for her actions:

On February 18, 2019, Shamita Shetty took to her social media handle and shared a collage of some of the reports stating she was trolled for being allegedly rude. In the caption, Shamita clarified that she's suffering from slip disc in her neck and was in a hurry to attend an urgent commitment. Her note could be read as, “Feel sad today. Nobody really understands the state of mind of an artist. I was rushing out of the place with an emergency to attend too, with a slip disc in my neck. I don’t want to get into details of that but I still complied with a photo to my fans waiting there but it was taking so long that I was getting impatient.”

Explaining the situation further, Shamita had written, “I can’t walk around with a board that I’m under medical treatment for a very painful neck slip disc but try to keep a smile on my face & did take pic n helped her take the pic as she was struggling with the right lighting. I’m aware as celebrities we are constantly judged especially in the world of social media where it’s very easy for people to say things. I take it in my stride but there’s no need to hit below the belt, it’s because I cared that I still took those photos.” (Also Read: Kareena Kapoor Khan Asks Stepdaughter Sara Ali Khan To Not Date This Actor, Gives Her Dating Advice)

Shamita Shetty concluded her post by saying that even celebrities have bad days, hence they shouldn't be judged on that, “I love my fans n respect the love and admiration they give me and that will always be a constant in my life!! In the normal case I wouldn’t want to clarify but felt the need to this time. I’m falliable as I’m a human being and do hurt. We all have bad days. Maybe that was mine. That doesn’t make us bad people. Sending you all positivity, love and light.”
