According to the complaint, the couple founded Satyug Gold Private Limited. The company had offered a particular gold scheme under which, anyone who intended to invest had to pay entirely for gold at a discounted rate when they applied to the scheme. After a specific time, they would get an agreed quantity of gold on its maturity date. However, the person who filed the complaint never got gold on the maturity date.
The judge hearing the case asked police to file an FIR against them under relevant Indian Penal Code sections. It will be filed for cheating and criminal breach of trust. The complainant had invested Rs 90,38,600 under a 5-year plan of the couple. Given the scheme, he had to receive 5,000 grams of 24-carat gold to be delivered on April 2, 2019. But they received nothing that prompted them to file a legal case.
