Paige Shiver worked as the executive assistant of fired head coach, Sherrone Moore. She was promoted to the role in 2024. However, she was earlier working in Michigan's on-campus recruiting department, and her duties included administrative coordination, team operations, and support in recruiting activities. She joined the Michigan athletics program in November 2021. 

It is worth mentioning that Paige Shiver has strong ties to professional sports. Her father, Jeff Shiver, is a veteran NFL scout with the Chicago Bears, and her uncle works in basketball analysis. Talking about her educational background, she graduated from Purdue University. Later, she went on to make a career in athletics and development. Earlier, she worked as a fundraiser and developer, which strengthened her administrative experience. A while ago, Paige Shiver was diagnosed with Pompe Disease, which is a rare genetic condition that requires lifelong medical treatment. 

Why was Paige Shiver linked to the firing of coach Sherrone Moore?

Paige Shiver's name came in the public limelight after rumours escalated with unfounded claims that she was pregnant. However, soon, Shiver's diminished her digital presence which further fueled the speculations among fans and football observers. It is worth mentioning that no official name was released in the statement that testifies that Sherrone Moore was involved with Paige Shiver.

Amid rumours surrounding Paige and Sherron's affair, many rumours claimed that the latter might be pregnant with the coach's child. It was posted by a commentary account, @BoNix10, which posted a series of unverified claims on X. It is worth mentioning that the viral post claimed that Sherrone cheated on his wife, but also got his staffer pregnant and he had forced her to abort the child. A part of the post can be read as:

“Sherrone Moore cheated on his wife of 3 kids, got his staffer pregnant, forced an abortion, stalked her, doubled her salary, held a knife to her, broke into her house, threatened suicide to his wife, but he was out here tweeting shit like this in 2012. The signs were there. We need to pay attention to what people tweet and post. Even what they wear on their shirts, they’re not joking."
