Shehnaaz Gill Reveals She Was Bodyshamed In 'Bigg Boss 13', 'Bahut Bodyshaming Hui, Moti Majh..'

Shehnaaz Gill rose to superstardom with her stint in the reality show Bigg Boss 13, which became a pathbreaker for her. The reality show not only gave her a massive fan following, but her honesty and innocence made her a star of the show. However, after the show, Shehnaaz left everyone in shock with her weight loss journey. Recently, she revealed the reason behind it.

Shehnaaz Gill opened up about her weight loss journey and how she decided to transform herself post Bigg Boss 13

Recently, in an interview with SMTV, Shehnaaz Gill bared her heart out. The actress, who is all set with the release of her upcoming Punjabi film, Ik Kudi, talked about her weight transformation post her participation in the reality show, Bigg Boss 13. Shehnaaz revealed that the inspiration behind her transformation was the massive bodyshaming she faced inside the show.

When the host asked, she was bodyshamed on camera. Shehnaaz accepted that she was bodyshamed, and people called her 'moti majh' in the entire season. The actress revealed that they meant what they said and were not just saying it for the camera. She said:

"Bigg Boss ch bodyshaming bahut hui, moti majh, moti majh. Jado log bolte hai mean karte hai, camera te dikhan layi loki villain banege."

Shehnaaz revealed that the words left her hurt, and she took it upon her heart and decided to lose weight. Shehnaaz took a year off herself and lost all those extra kilos, and it worked in her favour. She revealed that she started feeling extremely nice as she could easily wear anything and everything without worrying, as she was comfortable with her body. 

In the same interview, Shehnaaz talked about her career and how she worked hard in acting. She also revealed that for her, money is extremely important as she doesn't know how long she will be in the industry. Shenaaz stated that she has no one for her and she needs to take care of herself financially as she doesn't if she will be marrying or not. She was quoted as saying:

"Mere liye paisa kamuna bahut important hai, menu nahi pata mai industry ch kinni der tikna hai kitni der nahi. Paisa kamana is my main motive. Mere liye paisa important hai menu pata mere aage peeche hai nahi koi dekhan wala mai kal nu, menu nahi pata mai vihaa karana ho life ch, menu apni saftey da dhayan rkhna, menu apne ghar wale bhi palne."

For those who don't know, Shehnaaz has been working as an actress in the Punjabi industry since 2016. Despite starring in some of the hit Punjabi films and singing hit songs, she gained worldwide recognition after appearing on Bigg Boss 13. Post it, she has worked in films like Honsla Rakh, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, and Thank You For Coming.

Talking about Shehnaaz's personal life, the actress fell head-over-heels in love with Sidharth Shukla on Bigg Boss 13. Their relationship was loved by many. While they didn't confirm dating on record, after Sidharth's death, Shehnaaz often openly hinted about them being a couple.

During the grand trailer launch of the film, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ka Jaan, Salman Khan's caring side for Shehnaaz Gill was seen. During the event, Salman openly advised Shehnaaz to move on. In a video shared by a fan page, Salman cutely asked Shehnaaz, 'Move on, move on, kar jao'. To this, Shehnaaz replied she knew he would say it.
