Shazahn Padamsee Opens Up On 'Roka' With Ashish Kanakia, Says, 'I Have Slowly Learnt To Accept..'

Bollywood actress, Shazahn Padamsee's roka ceremony with Ashish Kanakia took place on January 20, 2025. The couple is all set to get married in June 2025. Shazahn and Ashish's roka was a private ceremony in the presence of their closest family members and friends. The actress daughter of late, Alyque Padamsee, and Sharon Prabhakar spoke about her roka ceremony.

Shazahn Padamsee opens up on her compatibility with Ashish Kanakia

During an interview with ETimes, the Housefull 2 actress shared that she is all set for the beginning of a new chapter in her life. Ashish’s family has been so warm and welcoming that it’s difficult to believe she has known him for two years. Her roka ceremony was a special day however the one person she missed the most was her father. She wished he had been there by her side, sharing the moment with the actress. Her dad would have been so happy and proud. Shazahn spoke about her compatibility with her fiance and said:

"We laugh a lot together as he has a really fun side, which includes making playful jibes at me which I’ve slowly learnt to accept about him. He is a warm and caring person. Although we come from different backgrounds, our core values are the same. We both have our distinctive traits. Ashish is disciplined and a neatness freak. I am constantly working on my time management issues."

The actress also said that Ashish was very quick to make decisions, whereas she needed time. Apart from that, they also have a lot of similar interests, like travelling to new places and going to music festivals worldwide.

On November 13, 2024, the actress got engaged to Ashish. She shared a post in which Ashish went down on his knees to slip the ringer in her finger. Shazahn wrote, "Can’t wait to start forever with you." Ashish is the CEO of MovieMax Cinemas and the director of Kanakia Group. Shazahn is known for her singing talent and was also seen in Rocket Singh opposite Ranbir Kapoor, apart from Housefull 2. Earlier, in an interview with the same publication, Shazahn had shared that a mutual friend had played the role of cupid in the lives of the actress and Ashish. Shazahn thinking of the same shared:

"Yes, my childhood friend got us to meet and there was an instant attraction. But I didn’t want to rush into it. We finally met a couple of months later for dinner and started dating shortly after that.”

The actress also shared that she has a special connection with her fiancé. She said in today’s fast-moving world, deep down, she has always been an old-school romantic. When she met Ashish, both of them were looking for a long-term, stable relationship. In her words:

"From day one, I felt most at peace with him. I feel I can be my most authentic self with him. It is said that when you meet ‘the one’, you will feel peace and not butterflies, and in my case, that’s exactly what happened."
