One of the most loved on-screen duos in Indian cinema, Amitabh Bachchan and Shatrughan Sinha, ruled the silver screen in the 1970s. With their films, Parwana, Dostana, Yaar Meri Zindagi, Naseeb, Kaala Patthar, Shaan, and many others, the two had cemented a special place in the audience's hearts across the nation.
While in the reel life, Amitabh Bachchan and Shatrughan Sinha's brotherhood was breaking the box-office records in their films. But, unfortunately, the two weren't even good friends in real life. Courtesy to some unknown misunderstandings between the two iconic superstars, Shatrughan Sinha has unfolded some in his autobiography, Anything But Khamosh: The Shatrughan Sinha Biography.

One of the excerpts from Shatrughan Sinha's memoirs, Anything But Khamosh: The Shatrughan Sinha Biography, revealed some interesting revelations about his rift with Amitabh Bachchan. The excerpts from the biography stated that either Zeenat Aman or Rekha were one of the reasons behind his differences with Amitabh. In a conversation with the book's author, Bharati S Pradhan, he revealed, "People say that Zeenat Aman or Rekha also contributed a little to the rift. During Kaala Patthar, a heroine who was known to be very friendly with him, would visit him. She would come during Dostana also but not once would he bring her out and introduce her to any of us. In showbiz, everybody knew who was visiting whom."
Going further in the conversation, Shatrughan Sinha also talked about his ex-lover, Reena Roy's presence in his make-up room during the initial phases of their dating period. He had said, "The media would immediately know if Reena was in my make-up room. Such things can never be hidden in our world."

In his autobiography, Shatrughan Sinha also shared an incident from the filming of their iconic film, Kaala Patthar, in which he claimed that a fight sequence between them was changed overnight without his knowledge. Recalling the same, Shatrughan stated that he was informed by the director a day before the shoot that he and Amitabh would be indulged in a fight scene, which would be an equal fight. However, when the actor had reached the sets the next day. He was informed that the sequence had been transformed, and now only Amitbah would beat him. After which, during the scene, Amitabh had beaten the hell out of him.
Talking about Shatrughan Sinha's personal life, it was on June 27, 1965, when the Kalicharan actor and Poonam Chandiramani had met for the first time on a moving train. Poonam's aunty was impressed with Shatrughan on the two-day trip and had handed him the address of their home in Mumbai, and that was the beginning of 14 years of a beautiful friendship, which had ended in a successful marriage.

On the professional front, Shatrughan Sinha was last seen in the film, Yamla Pagla Deewana: Phir Se.
