Veteran actress, Sharmila Tagore has been in the film industry since the early 60s, and she has been winning our hearts with her acting spree. She first appeared in the movie, Apur Sansar and never looked back since then. After a long break, the actress recently made her comeback with the movie, Gulmohar. Sharmila is currently on a promotional spree, revealing some interesting details about her personal life in the media.
Over the years, Sharmila Tagore has witnessed many controversies in her life, but recently she opened up about the most unbelievable one. In a conversation with Barkha Dutt, the actress recalled the time after the birth of her grandson, Taimur Ali Khan, and revealed how she was taken aback by how people could wish harm on a just-born baby. For the unversed, Taimur is the elder son of actors, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan.

In the heartfelt conversation, Sharmila shared that once she read a post on social media, which has stayed in her mind even after all these years. She recalled that the post was about her daughter-in-law, Kareena Kapoor Khan and her elder son, Taimur Ali Khan, and it left her thinking if these people were even real. Revealing how people wished that Taimur would have never been born, Sharmila added:
“I read one post which said it would have been better if Kareena had Zika and Taimur was never born. I said how can somebody actually think like that? How is it possible for somebody to even wish a one-day-old baby so much harm? I don’t feel afraid myself, but I just wonder, what is this world? And who are these people? Or are they just repeating what is being said? Are they real?”
Reflecting on the hatred that they received from various corners of society, Sharmila shared that it is impossible for a person to please everybody. However, she added that one must always try to please themselves and focus on their life goals. Giving a strong message to her fans and society, Sharmila said:
“Can you really please everybody? So why even try? Because if you go according to other people’s prescriptions then your own focus, your own desires get lost and you can’t really win so you lose anyway so why even go that way? You might as well please yourself.”

Moreover, when Kareena and Saif announced the name of their baby boy, Taimur, it had also created a lot of stir on social media. Once in an interview with The Guardian, Kareena Kapoor Khan opened up about the trolls targeting her kids, Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir Ali Khan. The Omkara actress revealed that she felt terrible to see her kids being subjugated to online trolling and shared that he babies have beautiful names and that they’re beautiful boys. However, she added that it's unfathomable why somebody would troll children and revealed that she feels terrible about it.
