When you are in love, there is nothing right or wrong. There is nothing in this world that love cannot conquer or there is no ‘match’ that cannot be won with love. We have witnessed many cricketers and Bollywood actresses jodi, but above them all is a jodi that had bowled every heart with their love story. It was in the 60s, when Bollywood star, Sharmila Tagore had met cricket sensation, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, also known as Tiger Pataudi. Despite the contrasting demure, the fireworks had happened in their hearts and that had given the nation an eternal love story. For the unversed, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi was the youngest captain of the Indian cricket team, and Sharmila Tagore was the glamorous star of Bollywood. The two stars were completely opposite to each other, ruling their own kingdoms, but their first meeting had changed things for them. The two had felt an instant connection the first time they had met in the year 1965. Owing to their different religions, the two had faced many difficulties despite being madly in love with each other. But there was no force in the world that could stop these lovers as conquering those all, the two had started their happily-ever-after.
Well, there is a lot to Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi and Sharmila Tagore’s love story and who can better know about it, than their family or friends. It is Sharmila’s ji’s daughter, Saba Ali Khan, who often blesses her fans with some unseen memories from her parents’ wedding and today is no different. Taking to her IG handle a few hours back, Saba shared a picture of her parents, Sharmila ji and Mansoor ji, where the veteran actress can be seen sitting on a couch blushing, while the cricketer was standing behind her in his black bandhgala smiling at someone. Calling her parents, the best parents, Saba wrote, “Two great people...meant for each other. THE BEST PARENTS.”
Coming back to Sharmila Tagore and Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi's epic love story, the duo had tied the knot in the year 1969, and their wedding was talked about in the entire nation. However, did you know that before tying the knot, Sharmila ji had put forward a special condition to marry Mansoor ji? Yes, according to media reports, Shamila ji had asked Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi to hit a hat-trick of sixes in a match to which the legendary cricketer had agreed. And rest as they say, is history! Sharmila ji had talked about her husband, Mansoor ji's biopic in an interview with the Free Press Journal. She had said, "Well it will depend on who the captains of the ship are – the producers and director. It is a good story, I think, with all the twists and the turns in his life….father’s death, losing his eye after which his average came down from 60 to 30.To receive such a blow at such a young age….I don’t think anyone else has been able to make those adjustments and that kind of an impact with one eye. He not only batted but also fielded after the eye accident. I think he was a wonderful sportsperson. God knows, what he’d have achieved if he had both his eyes."

In a throwback interview with the DNA, Sharmila Tagore was asked, “Between Saif, Saba and Soha, who shares your personality traits the most?” Sharmila Tagore had retorted, “I think Saif does, Soha is more like her dad Tiger and Saba is a mixture of both of us. Saif and I are little bit more impulsive and less practical. He likes his freedom. As a child, he was more mischievous, Soha was more studious and practical, while Saba is the most creative one.” (Don't Miss: Kareena Kapoor Khan Twinning With Her Sister-In-Law, Saba Ali Khan Speaks Volumes Of Sisterhood Bond)
