For several days we plan, how the day will dawn. Make-up, jewellery and the lehenga, exclusivity is what we demand while walking the gorgeous pholoon ki chadar. After all, in the end, it is just the start of a whole new life and we need to make it one memorable day. On April 20, 2019, television heart-throb, Sharad Malhotra tied the knot with Ripci Bhatia. The couple tied the knot in a Sikh ceremony and a Hindu ceremony. While Ripci looked gorgeous as a Sikh bride in a baby pink sharara and our groom, Sharad looked dapper in a white sherwani. Later, at night they exchanged wedding vows in a Hindu ceremony. And oh boy, she won our heart with her beautiful red lehenga.

Since a very early age, being a bride was our favourite make-a-believe game! And looks like Ripci had played it too often as her wedding lehenga is a perfect inspiration for the brides-to-be who are looking for the perfect hint of traditional red in a minimalist ensemble. She donned a plain red high-neck choli with a flared red lehenga skirt with small motifs and peacock embroidery on the hem. She finished off her look with golden choker neckpiece with white drops and a maangtikka that accentuated her look. Check out the pictures below:
Coming back to Sharad and Ripci’s love story, it was a match made in heaven and arranged by their families. Yes, our self-confessed marriage-phobic, Sharad had revealed the details of the same with the Hindustan Times. He had stated, “When I was introduced to Ripci, I had just come out of a relationship and was going through a difficult phase. Initially, we would just exchange occasional pleasantries on social media. It was only after Ganpati last year that we got talking on the phone, which was after my last relationship ended. What connected us probably was our fear of marriage. In fact, Ripci travelled the world for six years to avoid marriage, as the pressure on a girl at her age was mounting. I would have loved to do that, too, but I was constantly working. It’s only recently that our families got involved after we spoke over the phone for a few days. Both of us instantly realised that this is it and decided to take the plunge.” (Also Read: Sharad Malhotra And Ripci Bhatia's Hindu Wedding Begins, First Pictures And Baraat Videos Are Here)
Sharad had shared the deets about the moment when he realised that Ripci is his Miss Perfect, “I don’t think there was one [particular] moment when I decided that I wanted to marry her. We were out on a drive and I thought I would take a chance. I asked her (about marrying me) and in case, she refused, I would just laugh it off. But she agreed. Later, we informed our families and they agreed too. So now here we are. Luckily, everything just fell into place.” (Don't Miss: Abhishek Bachchan Shares A Mesmerising Picture Of His Girls, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan And Aaradhya)
