Shanaya Kapoor's Debut Music Video Opposite Guru Randhawa Slammed By Netizens, 'No Expressions..'

Sanjay and Maheep Kapoor's daughter, Shanaya Kapoor, is ready to debut in her new romantic comedy movie, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan. However, before she made her presence on the big screen, she made her first music video debut next to Guru Randhawa in the song, Vibe. However, it looks like netizens did not like Shanaya's dance moves as the star kid was brutally trolled about the same. They were discussing how nepotism gave her the stage, but she could not live up to the expectations of the fans and shared that her performance was worse than a kathak dance.

In recent times, Shanaya, daughter of Sanjay and Maheep, has been one of the most talked-about star kids. Her glitzy music video, Vibe, with global Punjabi pop singer, Guru Randhawa, and French Montana, a Moroccan-American rapper, did not receive appreciation. Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series has produced the song, and the track has been set against the lit background of Las Vegas. Netizens did not at all like the dance of Shanaya and felt she was doing a workout. One wrote on Reddit, "What even is that step? face/plastic is too stiff, so no expressions, just bland and for dance, I would like to watch a puppet dancing instead."

One Redditor even commented, "Not a single expression throughout the video, how is she not worried, cause movies need expressions?" While a third user wrote, "If she wasn't a nepo, she wouldn't be selected as a background dancer too." Users were so annoyed by Shanaya's dance that one wrote, "Also, if you watch the video again in the first shot, she is simply staring at the camera as if iska shot liya k nahi miss toh nahi ho gayi just like Shah Rukh in that “Bhaagoooooo' scene from OSO but that was comedy and he was acting deliberately god knows what this supandi is doing! Bhagwan bachaye audience ko."

It was on May 16, 2025, when Shanaya shared a small snippet from her debut music video, Vibe and wrote that her heart is in the track and that it is her first global collaboration. Speaking of the peppy music, it is Moroccan-American rapper, French Montana and Guru Randhawa who netizens feel have added charm to the clip. Netizens felt that Shanaya had to improvise on her dance movies and were upset with her screen presence. They expected the star kid to add more charm to the video, which she brutally failed to do, it looks like.

Shanaya does look pretty in the music clip and looks a lot like her mom, Maheep Kapoor, who rose to fame with The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives. Speaking of the lyrics of the song, it does shell out full on vibes. On the work front, Shanaya is all set to make her Bollywood debut next to Vikrant Massey in Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan. She was initially set to make her Bollywood debut with Bedhadak, which was announced back in 2022. It also had Lakshya and Gurfateh Pirzada, while Karan Johar's Dharma Productions backed it. Shanaya would also be seen in Tu Yaa Main which is set to release in February 2026. The film will also have Adarsh Gourav, while Bejoy Nambiar will direct the same.
