'Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan' Actress, Shanaya Kapoor Is A Graduate From A Reputed University Of London

Shanaya Kapoor is all geared up as she made her Bollywood debut, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, alongside Vikrant Massey. Born in 1999 to actor Sanjay Kapoor and his wife, Maheep Kapoor, Shanaya had always wanted to be an actress. She followed the footsteps of her father and made her dream debut, based on Ruskin Bond’s classic short story, The Eyes Have It.

Shanaya hails from a family of stars. Her grandfather, Surinder Kapoor, was a film producer, her uncles, Boney Kapoor and Anil Kapoor, are filmmakers and actors respectively. Not just this, Shanaya is the cousin of Sonam Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Mohit Marwah, Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor and entrepreneur Anshula Kapoor.

Apart from being born into a filmy family, Shanaya is also friends with Bollywood actresses. Yes, you read that right. Shanaya has two BFFs in the industry, andthey are none other than Suhana Khan and Ananya Panday. While Shanaya has made her acting debut, not everyone is aware that she has an impressive educational qualification too.

Shanaya Kapoor is a graduate from a reputed university in London

Shanaya Kapoor did her schooling at Ecole Mondiale World School in Mumbai. After completing her schooling, Shanaya did her Bachelor’s degree from the University School of Management Studies in London.

Shanaya Kapoor worked as an assistant director

Before making her acting debut, Shanaya Kapoor started her film career as an assistant director on Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl in 2020. The film starred her cousin, Janhvi Kapoor, in the lead role. Additionally, in 2021, Shanaya Kapoor featured in the Netflix reality show, Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, which featured her mother, Maheep Kapoor, as one of the leads.

Shanaya Kapoor was initially set to make her acting debut with Karan Johar’s Bedhadak, opposite Gurfateh Pirzada, but the project got shelved. She then made her silver screen debut with Santosh Singh’s directorial, Ankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan.

Apart from acting, Shanaya has modelled for designer, Manish Malhotra and is also the brand ambassador for brands like Dot & Key Skincare, Madame Fragrances, Miraggio, and Naturali. During a press meet, Shanaya expressed her emotions for her dream debut and said:

“It’s a surreal feeling, and it’s overwhelming when you see yourself on YouTube for now. I’m seeing myself and I’m putting my music videos on and I’m constantly seeing how it’s looking, what the audience has been saying, and it’s an overwhelming feeling. It’s all come together, and I’m happy with how the journey has been. If it’s taken time, if it has had its ups and down."

Shanaya Kapoor is rumoured to be dating businessman, Karan Kothari

Ahead of Shanaya Kapoor’s much-anticipated big screen debut, speculations about her dating life made their way to the headlines. It was reported that the star kid is reportedly in a relationship with Mumbai-based businessman, Karan Kothari, and it is reported that they were college sweethearts. Karan Kothari is the son of Avinash Kothari, the owner of the high-end luxury jewellery brand, Kothari Fine Jewels.

Shanaya Kapoor and Karan Kothari’s dating buzz in B-town started in early 2023 when they were spotted together at various events. A few days ago, Shanaya shared a teaser of her debut film on her IG, and Karan reposted it on his own handle, cheering for her and calling the film a long-awaited dream coming true. This sweet gesture has once again led fans to assume that the two could indeed be more than just friends.
