Shalini Passi Had A Strict Marriage Condition That Shocked Her Parents: 'My Father Didn't Believe..'

Shalini Passi, the breakout star of Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives, became a household name for her grand debut and unapologetic attitude. While fans love her larger-than-life persona, her love story with her husband, Sanjay Passi is equally fascinating. Shalini, who married at the tender age of 20, has had a journey filled with heartwarming moments and bold decisions that defy societal norms.

Shalini Passi had a strict condition before accepting a marriage proposal, but her parents were doubtful of it

Despite being only 20 years old when she got married, Shalini was a woman of value, even at that tender age. Recently, in a conversation with Mojo Story, Shalini shared that she was open to an arranged marriage but had a critical condition before accepting a proposal. She made it very clear that her future partner must not engage in drinking, smoking, or gambling. She shared:

“I told my parents that I don’t want the person to drink, smoke and gamble… I was brought up by my grandparents, who were extremely against smoking and drinking. They didn’t even keep a pack of cards at home. I grew up seeing that so I had that condition.”

Despite her strict conditions, she found the perfect partner in businessman, Sanjay Passi, and they got married. Previously, in an episode of Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives, Shalini revealed that she and Sanjay shared the same principles, and this was one of the main reasons that made her fall for him. However, when she first told her mother the conditions for her husband, her parents were doubtful of it. Salini said:

“When I told this to my mother, she was like ‘sure, good luck’. But then I found Sanjay. My father didn’t believe when his family told him that Sanjay is not into drinking and smoking. He thought they were lying.”

Shalini Passi tied the knot with Sanjay Passi when she was still in the middle of finishing college. She had her son, Robin Passi when she was only 21 years old. Talking about her decision to marry at such a young age, Shalini told Mojo Story:

“It was a very good move by the universe because I had so much energy and enthusiasm back then. What happens with women is later in their lives, the energy and recovery get extremely different. When young, you recover early. I became a mom at 21. Because I was young, I used to get more excited than my son when I took him to a toy store. It's like I am almost living my life in reverse.”

Shalini tied the knot with Sanjay Passi, the owner of the PASCO Group, in an arranged marriage. Their match was set after Sanjay’s family noticed Shalini at her school friend’s wedding. Despite it being an arranged marriage, Shalini has mentioned time and again how her husband meant the universe to her, and she couldn’t have asked for a better partner.
