The famous debate on Bollywood vs Drugs has once again garnered a lot of attention after superstar, Shah Rukh Khan's son, Aryan Khan was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau. On October 3, 2021, Aryan was taken into custody, following a raid in a Goa-bound cruise ship. He was arrested along with seven others.
A report by The Times of India stated that Aryan Khan was booked for the consumption of 'Charas'. Aryan Khan is represented by senior advocate, Satish Manshinde. As per the reports of India Today, the NCB has reportedly decided not to seek further custody of Aryan Khan. It is reported that his lawyers would immediately apply for his bail the moment he will be sent to judicial custody.

Soon after the news of Aryan Khan's arrest broke out, netizens started a meme fest on Twitter. From posting a meme of SRK's throwback interview, where he had jokingly said that Aryan can do drugs to calling the entire family a druggie, netizens are leaving no stone unturned to bash Shah Rukh and his family.

Shah Rukh Khan was even trolled for his association with the BYJUS, an e-learning platform for kids. Some asked the BYJUS to remove SRK as its brand ambassador, another user tweeted, "Dad is busy promoting Byjus coaching for IIT aspirants and son is busy attending drug rave parties."
A report by The Times of India stated that Aryan Khan was booked for the consumption of Charas. Out of the eight arrested along with Aryan, Arbaaz Merchant is the son of a timber businessman, whereas Munmun is the daughter of a businessman from Madhya Pradesh. In a written statement, Aryan Khan had acknowledged his arrest, stating, "I understand grounds of my arrest and informed the same to my family members."

Back in 1997, King Khan, along with his wife, appeared on the popular chat show, Rendezvous With Simi Garewal. Shah Rukh Khan was asked in an interview about the things he would love to see his son, Aryan Khan, doing in the future once he turned into a teenager. Answering this, the doting father gave a problematic reply that had caused a stir in the media at that time. The actor had stated that he wanted his son, Aryan, to do everything his father couldn't do or enjoy during his teenage years. Shah Rukh had said, "I've told him when he's 3 or 4 years he can run after girls, can do drugs, have sex."
