Shah Rukh Khan played several memorable roles during his decades-long career. Finally, the wait ended when Shah Rukh took to the stage as a host for the second night of IIFA 2024 and spoke his mind.
Shah Rukh Khan's wit is equally famous as his acting prowess. Whenever he hosts an award show, his words reflect his intellect and the actor often shares insights about his personal life. King Khan received the ‘Best Actor Award in a Leading Role’ for his performance in Jawan at IIFA. During his post-win speech, the actor mentioned going through a ‘tough time’ indicating his son, Aryan's arrest, when he forgot about giving funds for the film. However, SRK expressed gratitude as his wife, Gauri, reminded him of it. He was quoted as saying:

"Somebody reminded me that money needs to be put into a film. So, I want to thank Gauri. She may be the only wife spending more on the husband than the other way around. We were going through a tough time while making Jawan (referring to the Aryan Khan case)."
For the unversed, Shah Rukh Khan's son, Aryan Khan, was arrested on October 3, 2021, after a raid on the Cordelia cruise in Mumbai. However, later got a clean chit in the case. Further, the actor showcased his humor when he mentioned why he doesn't dance at weddings. Revealing the reason, he said:
"Pehle main damad ki umar ka tha. Ab main sasur ki umar ka ho gaya hu."
Shah Rukh Khan co-hosted the second night at IIFA 2024 with Vicky Kaushal and Karan Johar. For the unversed, Shah Rukh has worked with Katrina Kaif in two films, and they share a good bond. While hosting the awards night, he revealed that he asked Katrina Kaif about her love story with Vicky Kaushal. The actor mentioned that Katrina told him, "Pyar andha hota hai (Love is blind)” which left the audience laughing.
On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki, co-starring Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, and more. The actor will next be seen in King, directed by Sujoy Ghosh. Reportedly, his daughter, Suhana Khan, will also be part of the film.
