Shah Rukh Khan reveals being ambiguous about his film’s future

Speaking more along the lines, Shah Rukh Khan opened up about how before his film’s release, he starts to feel ambiguous about everything in his life. Moreover, he even remarked staying ambiguous about the very future of the film on which he has worked on, since it can be both a success or a flop. He said:

“I always try to analyse why do I do what I do. Why do I wake up in the morning and start doing it all over again? The work that I do, making films, the result happens very suddenly. You think you have made the best of the film and the world will like it but you wake up on a Friday morning and realise it is the biggest flop of your career. Or sometimes you don’t like a film and it becomes the biggest hit of your career.”

SRK once revealed what prompted him to take a sabbatical of four years

It was after his film, Zero’s failure at the box-office in 2018 when the actor decided to take a sabbatical. It wasn’t until 2023, with the release of his films, Jawan and Pathan that the actor restored fame and success yet again. Back during an earlier interview with a leading daily, SRK talked about the reason which prompted him to take a sabbatical in the first place. In his words:

“It's new because I have been working for 33 years and took such a big gap. Normally, you get a little nervous and you feel, 'I hope I've got the film right.' Before that, there were some of my films that didn't do well, and so I thought I'm not making good films. But I think more than my films, there was love for Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki from the people."
