'I Am A Joke In My House...' Shah Rukh Khan Makes A CONFESSION On Life With His Children At WAVES 25

Shah Rukh Khan's name is enough to give people goosebumps, and his one wave or hug can leave many hypnotised for days. He is the last of the superstars Indian cinema witnessed. While he has earned superstardom in his decades-long career, at home, he is just a regular person. From making jokes to being one at home, Shah Rukh is just a normal daddy to his children. Recently, he shared a shocking revelation about his bond with his children, Aryan Khan, Suhana Khan and AbRam Khan.

Recently, in a session titled, 'The Journey: From Outside to Ruler' with Deepika Padukone, at the first World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES) in Mumbai on May 1, 2025. While talking about whether stars are lonely on top, Shah Rukh revealed that he was a joke at his home. The actor was attending the event with his Chennai Express co-star, Deepika Padukone.

Shah Rukh shared that he doesn't feel 'lonely' at all on top, courtesy of his children, Aryan, Suhana and AbRam. He stated that with kids, a person can never get lonely. He was quoted as saying:

"You know you’re asked if it’s lonely at the top. I would just like to tell everyone here, those who are young and have kids, even those who are my age and have kids. You will never be lonely if you can make your children laugh, and those who don’t have children, if you can make your parents laugh, will never be lonely.”

Further, Shah Rukh revealed that no one at his home takes him seriously. Whenever he tries to discipline someone, they brush him off as he seems funny. SRK also shared the moment he tried to scold Deepika during the shoot of her first film with him. But whenever he shows his anger, they make fun of him. He said:

"Main itna funny hoon mere bacchon ke liye (My kids think I’m so funny), that even when I scold or try to discipline them. I also scolded Deepika while shooting Om Shanti Om. When I say something, like listen, you have to sleep by 10 o’clock or something. What do they do? 'Oh my god, S R K.' So, I am a joke in my house.”

When Shah Rukh Khan revealed how his son, Aryan mocked him

In an old fan-made video, which featured a compilation of Shah Rukh Khan's interviews, the actor was seen discussing his children and how they make fun of him. In the first frame, Shah Rukh revealed that his elder son often mocks him by saying, "S.R.K... Oh my god, the star is here." In the next frame, he revealed his son, Aryan and daughter, Suhana, they both look at him and say:

"Oh my god, SRK, the big star is talking."

Further in the video, Shah Rukh revealed that whenever he tries to talk about something serious, they shut him down by saying, "S..R..K." When one interviewer asked him if his children were scared of him, he simply denied it, and stated that whenever he calls his younger son, AbRam, he starts laughing.
