Shah Rukh Khan Compares Rishabh Pant With His Son, Aryan Khan, Recalls The Cricketer's Accident

In a recent candid conversation, Shah Rukh Khan expressed his concern about Rishabh Pant's horrific accident that took him almost fifteen months to recover completely.

Shah Rukh Khan is one of the stunning actors of his generation, which needs no introduction. However, it is his humble nature towards his co-stars, and other celebrities in the industry that often grabs the headline. Now, in a video, the actor opened up about his feelings when he saw Indian cricketer, Rishabh Pant's accident. For the unversed, it was in December 2022, when Rishabh was pulled out of a car wreck in a major car accident. His knee was twisted, and his muscles and ligaments were torn due to the same. It was indeed one of the most horrific incidents in Rishabh's life, and almost fifteen months later, he padded up for the IPL, defying the odds.

Now, in a recent candid conversation with Star Sports, Shah Rukh Khan expressed his feelings over Rishabh Pant's fatal car accident. The actor mentioned how he was entirely in shock after seeing the video of the cricketer's accident, and it made the former extremely worried about the latter. Recalling the incident, Shah Rukh also compared Rishabh with his son, Aryan Khan, as the latter one belong to the same age group.

Talking along the same lines, Shah Rukh Khan mentioned that the CCTV footage from Rishabh's accident had shaken him to every bit. However, the actor also mentioned how Rishabh is no less than an inspiration as he revived himself in a much better way after the accident. Hoping that the cricketer gets completely fine very soon, he mentioned that it is simply endearing how Rishabh is already back on the cricket ground. Shah Rukh added:

“I saw the video, that CCTV footage. Horrifying. These age boys are like my sons. Rishabh himself. When a sportsperson gets hurt, it’s a double jeopardy. I hope his knee gets fine. That is why I was telling him not to get up. I’m glad Rishabh is back, and I hope he keeps playing well.”

Shah Rukh Khan and Rishabh Pant shared an emotional hug post DC's win against KKR in the previous match

Earlier, during a match between KKR and DC in Vizag, we have witnessed another gesture of Shah Rukh Khan and Rishabh Pant towards one another which won millions of hearts online. In a few glimpses that surfaced on the internet on April 3, 2024, post the match, the actor was seen meeting and greeting the cricketers on-field and lauding them. Amidst that time, Shah Rukh can be seen approaching Rishabh, who was sitting on the field after the post-match duties. Soon, the cricketer too, stood up and they hugged each other. The moment was quite emotional and it showed how the actor was acknowledging the cricketer's incredible battle to regain full fitness after the road accident.

Shah Rukh Khan was spotted teaching AbRam cricketing skills at Eden Gardens

Recently, one of Shah Rukh Khan's fan pages dropped some unseen glimpses from his and his son, AbRam Khan's cricket practice session at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. In a video shared by the fan page, Shah Rukh looked handsome in a white-hued t-shirt teamed with a pair of cool sunnies and a ponytail. He was seen teaching AbRam how to make drool-worthy catches. Although the little boy failed to do so, he kept on trying. Moreover, Shah Rukh and AbRam were joined by the actor's manager, Pooja Dadlani's daughter, Reyna.
