Seema Pahwa and Manoj Pahwa are among the most beloved couples who have entertained the audience on both small and big screens. Currently, the duo is grabbing a lot of attention for their newly released series, Perfect Family. Alongside Seema and Manoj, the series also stars, Gulshan Devaiah and Girija Oak Godbole. The series made headlines because of its gripping plot and strong performances. Now, in a candid conversation, the couple opened up about having family therapy.
In a candid conversation with SCREEN, Seema Pahwa was asked about her take on having therapy. In response, Seema shared that she figured out that she needs therapy a long time ago, but didn’t know where to go. She went on to say that when someone has decided to take therapy, they must consult a therapist, who should be a third person and not any family member. She mentioned it if the therapist is a third person, then only he or she can tell her where she is going wrong. She highlighted that there should be a family therapist just like a family doctor. Later, she encouraged people to go to therapy, even if there are no issues in their family, just like a routine medical checkup. She was quoted as saying:
"In fact, I figured out a long time ago that I need therapy, but I didn't know where to go. I believe there should be a family therapist, just like there's a family doctor. The family needs a third eye."

Both Seema Pahwa and her husband, Manoj Pahwa, were present during the conversation. After Seema talked about family therapy, she was asked whether she had taken the family therapy yet. In response, the veteran actress revealed that although they have not taken the family therapy yet, they have discussed the matter. She shared that, as per their discussion, they should have the therapy. She then explained why it has become quite necessary for them to have family therapy now. She was quoted as saying:
"Because now, we'll start a new journey at 60 plus, both personally and professionally. Both our kids have gotten married and moved out. So, now there's a loneliness between the two of us. I think this is the right time to get a therapist involved."

On the other hand, Manoj tried to make the conversation light-hearted. He quipped that they will need a therapist now, as their kids are not there with them. He shared that before getting into direct confrontation, they must consult a therapist. If something serious happens inside their family, then the therapist might be the rescue option for them. Cracking a joke, the veteran actor said:
"Ab issey pehle koi direct confrontation ho jaye, issey pehle kisi therapist ko beech mei laa ke khada kar. 'Tu dekh liyo, bhai.' Usi ke upar daal denge ki dekh bhai ye kya kar raha hai."

Seema Pahwa and Manoj Pahwa got married in 1988. Once in an interview with Rajshri Unplugged, Seema Pahwa revealed that during their play, Aadhe Adhure, she and Manoj took a photo together. However, after seeing the picture from their play, Manoj’s dad thought that he had secretly got married to her and also had children. A lot of confusion occurred due to that picture, and both of their families thought that the duo had secretly tied the knot. Later, the couple discovered the root cause of the series of confusion and had a lot of conversations around it. This made them close, and they decided to get married after dating for three years. The couple share two children.
