In a piece of sad news, Scott Adams, who was the creator of the comic strip, Dilbert, passed away at the age of 69. His ex-wife, Shelly Miles, revealed about the same in his live podcast titled, Real Coffee With Scott Adams. It was on January 13, 2026, when Scott's demise was announced, and in 2025, he was diagnosed with an aggressive type of prostate cancer. Now, amid Scott Adams' demise, questions about his net worth and family details have made netizens curious.
Scott Adams' achievements in the comedy industry earned him substantial financial rewards. The report by HT reveals that Scott's demise is around USD 20 million. A report by Celebrity Net Worth also states the same. In addition to the same, Scott's work in the comic sphere includes having a vegetarian food company and being the author of many books. Adams was also an important personality on social media, where he used to always express his political views. When Scott Adams' Dilbert was at its peak, he made an appearance back then on Babylon 5's fourth season. Scott also did a cameo role on NewsRadio and was also featured on Real Time with Bill Maher, along with the Commonwealth Club of California, Fox News, Real Talk with Zuby, Making Sense with Sam Harris, and The Joe Rogan Experience. Scott was also seen on other varied talk shows and also podcasts.

Scott Adams' Dilbert was a global hit and had appeared in over 2,000 newspapers and across 19 languages and 60 countries. Adams was also the executive producer of a Dilbert TV programme that used to air on UPN back from 1998 to the 2000. Apart from his comic success, Adams had also published non-fiction works like The Religion War. He also founded Scott Adams Food, Inc., which created products like the Dilberito and Protein Chef.

Scott, earlier in May 2025, during an episode of his show, Real Coffee With Scott Adams revealed that the prostate cancer had spread to his bones. He had shared that he had the same cancer that Joe Biden had and revealed the information a day after Joe Biden had shared about his diagnosis. Well, Scott, who had created the comic strip Dilbert, debuted in 1989, where the office culture was shown in a satirical way. Until 2023, it was published in various newspapers. However, according to a report by the Hindustan Times, it was discontinued after comments from Scott Adams were condemned. This was because many publishers found the comments as rac***, hat*ful and also discriminatory.

In July 2006, Scott Adams and Shelly Miles got married on a yacht in San Francisco. The couple met at a gym where Shelly worked. Scott had taken the responsibility of raising her two kids, Savannah and Justin, from her earlier marriage. Sadly, Justin, at the mere age of 18, died from a fentanyl overdose. Shelly and Scot got separated in 2014 but have remained friends. In 2019, Scott revealed on his podcast that he was engaged to model, Kristina Basham. It was on July 11, 2020, that the pair married, and Basham had two kids from an earlier relationship. It was in March 2022 that they separated.
