On March 5, 2026, Savannah Guthrie returned to Studio 1A at Rockefeller Center in New York City. For the unversed, her program, Today is filmed in this studio. It is worth mentioning that this was her first visit to the studio, ever since her mother, Nancy went missing. Recently, NBC shared insights from Savannah's visit and revealed that she came to thank the team for their unmatched support. NBC was quoted as saying:
"Savannah Guthrie stopped by the studio this morning to be with and thank her TODAY colleagues. While she plans to return to the show on air, she remains focused right now supporting her family and working to help bring Nancy home."

According to a recent report by CNN, a source close to NBC shared that during Savannah Guthrie’s visit at the Studio, she also revealed her plans of coming back to hosting the show. Reportedly, she also has intentions of coming back. The source stated that Savannah explained that even though she is not sure how and when she will return, she is trying. According to a recent report by CNN, the source was quoted as saying:
"I have every intention of coming back. I don’t know how to come back, but I don’t know how not to. You’re my family. And, I would like to try. I wanted you to know that I’m still standing, and I still have hope, and I’m still me. And I don’t know what version of me that will be, but it will be."

Further, Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones also spoke about Savannah Guthrie's surprise and unexpected visit to the Studio. Jenna Bush Hager explained that Savannah "hugged every single person in this room." Jenna also shared that the much-loved journalist is "beyond love" in the Today show studio. On the other hand, Sheinelle Jones shared that they are standing with Savannah and whenever she is ready to return, we will welcome her with open arms.

Since January 31, 2026, Savannah Guthrie is dealing with the toughest phase as her 84-year-old mother, Nancy went missing from her home. She was reported missing the next day after she failed to attend her usual virtual church service. Soon, this sparked an intense investigation. In the past few weeks, there have been multiple updates in the case including drops of blood found on the porch of her house, surveillance footage, a glove near the property and more. As of now, the investigation into Nancy Guthrie’s missing remains open and the investigation is going on.
