Saurabh Dwivedi After Quitting Lallantop Is Now Going To Make Debut With Netflix's 'Kartavya' At 41

Saurabh Dwivedi left everyone shocked when he announced quitting Lallantop, a news platform that re-ignited love for Hindi sahitya among the youth. His interviews with famous celebrities and controversial statements made him a favourite among the youth. While Saurabh didn't share his future endeavours, reports claimed that he was going to head the Hindi vertical of The Indian Express, but there's no confirmation around the same.

Saurabh Dwivedi is going to make his acting debut with Shah Rukh Khan's Kartavya

Saurabh is all set to kickstart his acting career with Netflix, Kartavya. It is being produced by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment. Netflix announced its upcoming movies and series on X. In the series of tweets, one of the faces was of Saurabh, who was sitting in an atheleisure wear. The tweet can be read as:

"Dharm aur karm ke yuddh mein, kya kartavya jeet payega? Watch Kartavya, coming soon, only on Netflix (sic)."

The internet went gaga over hearing about Saurabh Dwivedi's acting debut. One of the user wrote, "Saurabh ji har hafte netanagari dekha maine .... kbhi to clue to de diya hota ki aap is line mai aa rhe hai ..... @sardesairajdeep Sir, Next aapka number hai kya?" Another one compared Saurabh to Kusha Kapila and wrote, "Saurabh Dwivedi is the new Kusha Kapila in B-town." Another stated how Saurabh has switched from journalism to acting, "Yeh toh acting mein aa gaye journalism se... Wo bhi red Chillies aur netlfix ke project mein. Didn't expect this collaboration of Sourabh Diwedi with Red Chillies."

Saurabh Dwivedi's journey

Saurabh Dwivedi became a part of India Today Group as a Features Editor at aajtak.in. Over the years, with his journalist's eye and a key to reporting, he emerged as one of the group's most prominent editorial leaders. He is the founding editor of Lallantop, and under his wings, it grew into a famous digital platform. On his show, Honey Singh gave the breaking interview about Badshah and their feud. 

After nearly 12 years with India Today Group, Saurabh Dwivedi stepped down from his role as Editor of the digital news platform, Lallantop, and India Today Hindi. The news was confirmed by Kalli Purie, Vice Chairperson of the India Today Group. She acknowledged Saruabh's work as he was keen to create a new platform and bring Hindi journalism to the masses. After his exit as editorial leader, it will be given to Kuldeep Mishra, who is going to take over the full responsibility of the channel. Rajat Sain would be heading the Production Team, as they were both important founding members of Lallantop.

Taking to his social media handle, Saurabh Dwivedi penned a gratitude note to be part of Lallantop, which gave him nationwide recognition, lessons, and encouragement. His note can be read as:

"Thank you Lallantop for the recognition, lessons, and encouragement. Best wishes for the future. Our association ends here. I'll talk about study leave and then my future plans. You all have taught me a lot. The world will continue to exist; if we don't exist, someone like us will. Thank you for the respect, recognition, and knowledge. After a pause, we prepare for a new journey."
