Veteran comedian actor, Satish Shah, passed away on October 25, 2025, in Mumbai. He left his co-stars from the industry in a state of complete shock. There were reports earlier that stated the actor had passed away because of kidney failure. However, now, Satish's on-screen son, Rajesh Kumar who was best known for playing 'Rosesh Sarabhai' in the famous comedy show called, Sarabhai vs Sarabhai has clarified that Satish's cause of demise was not kidney failure.
Satish was 74 when he passed away in Mumbai. Rajesh and the other Sarabhai vs Sarabhai co-stars looked broken while giving the actor an emotional farewell. Now, Rajesh shared that Satish's demise was not due to kidney failure. In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, the actor shared that Satish passed away because of a heart attack. Rajesh said:
"I can’t tell you how emotional these last 24–25 hours have been. It’s very difficult to even express it. But I do want to clarify a few things about Satishji’s passing. Yes, he did have a kidney issue, but he actually passed away due to a heart attack."

Rajesh, further revealing details, stated that Satish was at home eating lunch, and then he passed away. Rajesh shared that he wanted to clarify the same because there were reports that alleged that the actor had passed away because of kidney issues. Rajesh shared that Satish passed away because of a sudden cardiac arrest.

Earlier, in an interview with the DNA, Rajesh opened up about the personal bond he has with Satish and shared that the actor runs in his blood like his own father. Rajesh will always remember Satish as someone who was always happy, had a caring nature, was happy seeing the actor succeed, and used to be upset when the actor was down. Rajesh recounted:
"All I can say is — he runs in my blood like my own father. He was always thoughtful, caring, happy when I succeeded, and sad when I was down. He was a pillar of strength — always just one call away. We used to exchange a lot of jokes on WhatsApp. The Sarabhai vs Sarabhai WhatsApp group was alive only because of Satishji — he kept us connected, hosting parties, inviting us to his home, and making sure we all stayed in touch. That warmth, that energy — that’s what made him who he was."

Earlier, Satish's manager, Ramesh Kadatala, had shared that the star had collapsed when he was having lunch. Then the actor was made to wait for half an hour for the ambulance to come, and was declared dead when he arrived at the hospital.
