Sarabhai vs Sarabhai actor, Satish Shah, passed away on October 25, 2025, in Mumbai. The veteran actor was 74 when he passed away due to kidney failure at 2.30 p.m. Satish was best known for his hit TV show, Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, and has now left the entertainment industry, mourning. Now, the last post of Satish has gone viral on X, where he tweeted on October 24, 2025, and remembered Shammi Kapoor a day before his demise.

Satish was hyperactive on social media, especially X, and a day before his demise on October 24, 2025, he took to X to remember the late legendary actor, Shammi Kapoor, on his birthday. The last post of Satish on X caught the attention of all. Satish had shared a picture of Shammi, himself, and Govinda and penned:

"Happy B’day dearest Shammi ji. You are always around for me."

Satish's fans started commenting, "Om Shanti," seeing the heart-wrenching post of Satish with Shammi and Govinda. A user wrote, "Bhagwan Satish Shahji ko to sadgati de. His never-fading smile and positivity will stay forever. He will be remembered for the warmth and smiles he brought to our lives." Another one commented, "Just heard the news of your passing, very sad to hear. We watched many of your movies. May God rest your soul in peace." Others commented, "RIP sir. You were the first comedian on TV who effortlessly made me laugh. Om shanti Satish ji! Ishwar aapko sadgati pradaan karein! You were indeed a blessed man!"

Fans were very emotional seeing the throwback picture with Shammi and Govinda. Well, the news of Satish's demise was confirmed by none other than Ashoke Pandit. He had taken to Instagram to share a snap of the late actor and inform his fans of Satish's demise. Ashoke's heartbreaking note read:

"Sad and shocked to inform you that our dear friend and a great actor Satish Shah has passed away a few hours ago due to kidney failure. He was rushed to Hinduja hospital where he breathed his last. A great loss to our industry. Om Shanti."

Satish Shah's illustrious career in movies

Satish has done many movies such as Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Hum Aapke Hain Koun, Fanaa, Ishq Vishk, Main Hoon Na, and Om Shanti Om, to name a few. Satish was last seen in the 2014 movie, Humshakals, next to Saif Ali Khan, Riteish Deshmukh, Ram Kapoor, Tamannaah Bhatia, Esha Gupta, and Bipasha Basu in pivotal roles. Satish's funeral will be held on October 26, 2025.

Satish has had a career of more than five decades in the film industry and has moved back and forth between TV and the big screen. He was one of the top prolific character stars. He had gained fame back in the 1980s with movies such as Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro and then was seen in more than 200 movies. Satish had done Hum Saath Saath Hain, Main Hoon Na, Om Shanti Om, to name a few. On the small screen, he played 'Indravadan Sarabhai' in the serial Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, which made him an icon. Satish was known as the comedy king, and his timing was epic.
