Talking about her late mother's biopic with ETimes, Sukaina was quoted as saying, "I would be really disappointed if Madhuri didn't do the film. But there's only one person who can get into Sridevi's shoes- her daughter Janhvi. She's so much like her." She then revealed that there will be three to four heroine and that Remo D'Souza is yet to show her the script and take her approval. On the topic, Sukaina said that he would need her approval because she wants every aspect of Saroj Khan's life to be a part of the film.

Talking about the same, Sukaina said, "Why I need to give my nod of consent to the film is also because I want to see my mother's life on celluloid covering every aspect of her. Like is she was on her way, we would get so particular in putting everything at home in the right place. Like if the food wasn't ready on time, she would get angry. And do you know how she looked after her two granddaughters when my elder sister died young at the age of 39? Nobody from their father's side came forward to take care of them." From the age of 13 to 71, she has done everything to fend for us and give us a full life. She has never complained and was the man of the house."

She had also spoken about the beautiful bond she had shared with her mother and had said, "Every woman would agree with me that raising children alone is a very difficult job. And when you have a few other family members depending on you, it becomes all the more difficult. She never had a frown on her face. She was always like, 'Main hoon na. Ho jayega'. She never had a no for any problem and didn't disappoint anyone saying, 'Main Nahi Kar Sakti'. My mother has always backed us up."
