Sarah Paulson Receives A Star On Hollywood Walk Of Fame, Holland Taylor, 82, Sings Partner's Praises

Sarah Paulson is one of the most phenomenal and versatile actors that the entertainment industry has seen. The American actress's swift rise to fame happened following her collaborations with producer Ryan Murphy, especially after playing various characters in the American Crime Story series. Now, on December 2, 2025, Sarah has been honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, an honour that most celebrities only dream of achieving. With several entertainment industry insiders present at the event, what touched viewers' hearts was Sarah's partner, Holland Taylor, who delivered an emotional speech full of praise for the actress.

For those unaware, Sarah Paulson's star is placed at 6533 Hollywood Blvd., near Hudson Avenue. The placement of the star is even more special, since it is right next to that of Ryan Murphy, the creator, executive, and director of TV shows like All's Fair and American Horror Story, both of which Sarah starred in. The Emmy-winning actress acknowledged Ryan's contribution to her career, referring to him as someone who saw her "potential before anyone else on planet Earth." Sarah further stated: 

"Mr. Ryan Murphy, the person who is most responsible for my being here today, the person who not only believed in me but always gave me one thing that separates a dreaming actor to a working one: opportunity.” 

Sarah further added that, “in the world of dreams coming true,” it happened to her on the day Ryan chose to cast her in his show. Ryan, who was also present at the star-unveiling ceremony, extended his heartiest congratulations to the actress and lauded her acting capabilities, saying she's an actor with such depth that she can play almost any character that comes her way. Talking about how Sarah never ceases to impress him, he stated: 

"The thing that impresses me the most about Sarah Paulson is her autonomy. The fact that she did it the hard way on her own, a rare combination of passion and grit that made her one of the greatest actresses in the world."

Apart from Ryan Murphy, Sarah Paulson's star-unveiling ceremony was also attended by many of her celeb friends and former co-stars. Among them were her long-time friend, Amanda Peet, Leslie Grossman, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Niecy Nash and wife Jessica Betts, Judith Light, Melanie Lynskey, Clea DuVall, and Aisha Hinds. Sarah's long-term partner, Holland Taylor, was also in attendance at the event and showed her support with an incredibly heartfelt and emotional speech. Praising Sarah, the 82-year-old stated: 

“Sarah, the actress, is first of all a wild creature in the animal kingdom. Warm-blooded, instinctive, mysterious. And Sarah is dangerous — trust me in this — not dangerous like a snake, more like a mongoose. You know, those darling furry little creatures that kill snakes.” 

She further went on to applaud her 50-year-old partner for her “commitment to the truth” as a performer, a quality that other actors often lack. According to the L Word alum, Sarah perceives her character's traits, habitats, vulnerabilities, heroism, ugliness, and its terrible truths with laser-like precision. Holland noted that Sarah often zeroes in on the story's central struggle, a quality that not only qualifies her as an amazing actress but also something that would definitely make her a “great director” one day.
