Sanjeev Seth Opens Up On Divorce From Lataa Saberwal After 15 Years Of Marriage, 'Focus On My Life'

Sanjeev Seth and Lataa Saberwal are two of the most familiar faces of the Indian TV industry. Both of them played the role of a couple in the popular series, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. After a year of playing an on-screen couple, Lataa and Sanjeev became real-life husband and wife. However, after 15 years of marriage, Lataa announced their divorce on her social media handle. However, her ex-husband, Sanjeev, had not publicly addressed the subject until very recently. 

Sanjeev Seth talked about his divorce from Lataa Saberwal 

Addressing the recent divorce announcement made by his ex-wife, Lataa, Sanjeev said in an ETimes interview that what has happened is very sad. However, he doesn't want to keep 'sulking and crying' over it. For now, the actor wants to focus on his work. Sanjeev also wants to spend time with his children and focus on his life ahead. He also said that 'life goes on and one has to move on'. Speaking about his divorce, Sanjeev said:

“What has happened is very sad. But I can’t keep sulking and crying over it. Life goes on, and one has to move on. I am concentrating on my work now. As of now, I want to spend time with my children and focus on my life ahead."

Before his marriage with Lataa, Sanjeev was married to Reshma Tipnis and shares two children with her. But they parted ways in 2004. Then after meeting and falling in love with each other on the sets of the show, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Sanjeev and Lataa dated for a year and tied the knot in 2010. Reportedly, the actor had asked permission from his first ex-wife and children before getting married for the second time. After three years, Sanjeev and Lataa welcomed a baby boy.

After their track ended in YRKKH, both of them turned towards content creation. Lataa has YouTube channel where she coaches people on health, wellness and confidence. Sanjeev also has a channel called Khau Dost Sanjeev Seth and creates food vlogs. After 15 years of marriage, Lataa announced through her social media handle that she and Sanjeev had divorced. Neither of them have revealed the reason for their split. The actress penned down:

"After a prolonged silence I declare that I Lataa Saberwal have been separated from my husband, Mr. Sanjeev Seth. I give my gratitude to him for giving me a lovely son. I wish him all the best for his future life."
