Sania Mirza is on cloud nine these days, and the reason is that she is enjoying her pregnancy journey to the fullest. Yes, Sania who walked down the aisle with Pakistani cricket, Shoaib Malik, is expecting her first baby in 2018. Sania is currently in her third trimester, and she is strictly not allowed to travel. But she is excited, or rather we should say super-excited for the upcoming Asian Games. But the mommy-to-be is feeling little sad and nostalgic.
Sania Mirza has won seven medals at the Asian Games, including two golds which she won in 2006 in Doha and 2015 in Incheon, is unable to be there on the field to cheer up. So, she took to her Instagram account and shared a lovely collage holding her achievements in hand. Here’s the snap she posted:
Along with the picture, she wrote, “It was 2002 when I was selected to play for the Asian Games for the very first time, it will be the first time since then that I will not be competing at an Asian Games representing my country! With the Games starting tomm I have to say I am a little sad and feeling nostalgic but I saw these pictures of all the 8 medals I’ve been fortunate to win and the sadness went away instantly as I am at home for probably the biggest ‘MATCH’ of my life and unable to be there with you guys, here’s wishing all the athletes and specially the tennis team all the very best for the games from tomm!! Bring it home guys!!” Aww, this is so sweet of you Sania! (Also Check: Priyanka Chopra And Nick Jonas During 'Puja' At Their 'Roka' Ceremony, Pics Inside [Live Updates])

Sania Mirza is amongst those celebs who is enjoying her pregnancy phase with the baby bump to the fullest. She is not at all conscious or hiding rather she is even more confident than ever before. Whether you talk about attending events or being active on social media, Sania is giving some serious goals to all the moms-to-be out there.
In an interview with the Mumbai Mirror, Sania Mirza shared her mommy diary and talked about her workout, diet, and some pregnancy tips. The 31-year-old tennis icon believes, “While every woman’s body reacts differently to pregnancy, it’s unfair to think that you are handicapped for nine months. I’d recommend using this time to prepare your body for the changes that are going to happen in the following months. Begin by staying active and live a normal life; that’s what I did.” (Suggested Read: Live Update: Guests Arrive At Priyanka Chopra And Nick Jonas's 'Roka' Ceremony)
Sharing the best part about her pregnancy, she remarked, “Now, I’m just giving my body the rest it needs and waking up whenever I feel like — usually between 9 am and 10 am — so that I feel refreshed. Since sleep at night is hard to come by, especially in the third trimester, there is no point in stressing yourself out in the morning.”
About practising yoga, Sania shared, “Yoga isn’t just for the body but for the mind as well — it keeps you physically and mentally fit which is crucial at this stage. The asanas you practice, especially in your second and third trimester, teach you to breathe correctly during labour.” (Do Check: Karan Mehra And Nisha Rawal Share Throwback Pics From Their Son Kavish Mehra's 'Mundan' Ceremony)
She further added, “Before becoming pregnant, I used to push my body to perform even when I experienced pain, but I don’t any more. It took a while to train my mind that I won’t be able to do even five per cent of what I could before and that it’s okay. With pregnancy, priorities change, and you have to adapt to the fact that your body is altering while creating something within and that it requires energy. In my case, I had to relax and refrain from routine activities — everybody’s ‘routine’ is different — which were hyper.”
Hey, Sania, we wish you all the luck for easy last days of pregnancy. More power to you!
