Sangeeta Bijlani Talks About Her Ex-Bf, Salman Khan With Whom She Was About To Get Married

Bollywood actor, Salman Khan, who is called one of the most desirable bachelors, was once about to get married to actress, Sangeeta Bijlani. The once-in-love-couple was in the headlines for their sizzling chemistry and their dating phase, which could not last long. However, Salman and Sangeeta kept the dignity of their relationship, and they still are friends. 

There is no doubt that Salman shares a special bond with his ex-girlfriend, Sangeeta Bijlani, that shows off his gentle side. We remember in  2019, the actor had attended Sangeeta's birthday with his rumoured girlfriend, Iulia Vantur. In one of the pictures from Sangeet's 54th birthday bash, we could see Salman flashing a big smile as he hugged Sangeeta and other industry friends.

In an interview with The Times of India, Sangeeta recently opened up on her equation with Salman Khan. She shared that they are good friends and had also quoted a line from one of Salman's films. She said, "It’s nice to stay friends with people you’ve known forever. ‘Dosti ki hai… nibhani toh padegi."

There was a time when Salman and Sangeeta's affair created a lot of buzz in the media. And they were head-over-heels in love with each other, they were even all set to tie the knot. However, destiny played its game and they drifted apart. In Salman's biography, Being Salman, penned by Jasim Khan. It was stated that the two had finalised their wedding dates.

Salman and Sangeeta had planned to exchange the wedding vows on May 27, 1994, but suddenly the event was called off. All the wedding preparations were stalled midway. Reports claim that Sangeeta was apparently upset with Salman and hence decided not to marry him.

Sangeeta had left Bollywood after she had tied the knot with cricketer, Mohammed Azharuddin. They had separated in the year 2010.
