Sameera Reddy Opens Up On Breast Surgery At Peak Of Career, 'Pressure That Was Put On Me To Get..'

Bollywood actress-turned-social media sensation, Sameera Reddy has always been open about her journey in the glamour world. From being referred to as 'Sexy Sam' in Tollywood to being the 'Messy Mama', Sameera's transformation has been inspiring. She has encouraged many mums to choose themselves and restart their careers. Now, Sameera recalled being forced to get breast surgery.

Sameera recalled how she was forced to get breast surgery

Recently, in an interview with the Hindustan Times, Sameera Reddy recalled that she faced a lot of pressure to surgically enhance her body. People would force her to get a boob job when she was at the top of her career. But Sameera never felt comfortable in getting surgery done on her body to look a certain way. However, it was the right company, who helped her to stay away from the knifes. She said:

"I can’t emphasise enough on the amount of pressure that was put on me to get a boob job at the top of my career. So many people kept saying, ‘Sameera, sab log kar rahe hain, aap kyun nahin’. But I didn’t want something like that inside me. It’s like you are hiding a flaw but it’s not a flaw, it’s how life is. I will not judge someone who wants to have plastic surgery and botox, but what works for me is internally fixing myself.

When Sameera Reddy revealed media people thought she was pregnant after she tied the knot with Akshai Varde

Sameera Reddy tied the knot with Akshai Varde in an intimate Maharashtrian wedding ceremony on January 21, 2014. Recently, Sameera Reddy spoke her heart out on Janice Sequeira's podcast. The gorgeous actress revealed that they got married on the terrace of her home. She added that the entire media thought that she was pregnant, but she wasn't. Sameera was quoted as saying:

"I got married on my terrace, I got married within five days. And I'm sure the whole media thought that this chick is definitely preggers. But I wasn't. We got married within a week because the panditji said that the next nice date was in May, which I felt was too hot. He said 21st January was the best. 'Bahut shubh muhurat hai, aisa bahut saalo tak nahi milega.' And I said the weather was also nice."

In the same podcast, Sameera Reddy revealed that she was head-over-heels in love with him the moment she saw him during a bike shoot. She desperately wanted to impress him. Sameera also added that after fourteen years of knowing him, she is still so much in love with him.

When Sameera Reddy talked about her postpartum depression

In an interview with Humans of Bombay, Sameera opened up about her first pregnancy. She had revealed that when she got pregnant with her son, Hans, she thought she would be like 'page-3 mothers' and would flaunt her baby bump. But by the end of her pregnancy, she was 105 kilos, and her dream of being a yummy mummy was shattered.
