Sambhavna Seth Reacts To Sana Allegedly Forcing Her To Wear Burqa, 'No One Can Dictate My Clothing'

Sana Khan is a former Bollywood actress, who is known for her acting skills in several movies such as Silambattam, Halla Bol, Jai Ho, and Wajah Tum Ho, among others. Well, it was back in 2020, when just before getting married to her husband, Sana Khan bid farewell to the acting world. Now and again, Sana often gets trolled for one reason or another. The same happened again, as Sana recently ended up asking her friend, Sambhavna Seth to wear a burqa. Well, such a comment sparked an outrage and now, Sambhavna has reacted to the same.

Sambhavna Seth reacts to Sana Khan allegedly forcing her to wear a dupatta and burqa

Sambhavna Seth recently sat for an interview with India Forums, wherein she was asked about Sana Khan's 'burqa lao' comment. Talking about the same, Sambhavna shared that it was just a fun conversation between her and Sana, and they have been friends for years now. She further revealed that Sana called her to be on the Ramadan special podcast, and the discussion was about Sambhavna gaining weight and her clothes getting tight. She remarked that in the same context, Sana jokingly made the dupatta comment. Sambhavna can be quoted as saying:

"That was just a fun conversation between Sana and me. We have been friends for years, and she invited me to her Ramadan special podcast. The discussion was about how I had gained weight and my clothes were getting tight. In that context, Sana jokingly mentioned bringing a dupatta for me."

Going further in the interview, Sambhavna Seth said that she completely understands the fact that she shouldn't wear shorts for a Ramadan special episode, and she won't do the same. She mentioned that she's someone who makes her own decisions, and no one can force her to wear a burqa or dictate her clothing. She further claimed that she has respect for all religions, but she is a proud Hindu, and she won't wear a burqa for that matter. Sambhavna said:

"I completely understand that I wouldn't wear shorts for a Ramadan podcast. I am an individual who makes my own choices. No one can force me to wear a burqa or dictate my clothing. While I respect all religions, I am a proud Hindu and will not wear a burqa."

Sambhavna Seth defends Sana Khan after she got slammed

Sana Khan, on her podcast, was seen asking Sambhavna Seth if she doesn't have any good salwar kameez. Sana further asked her friend if she would want to get slapped while asking where is her dupatta. She also said that Sambhavna should wear a burqa. Well, she told all this in a light-hearted tone. Now, talking to the interviewer, Sambhavna said that if she would have the idea that the video would cause trouble to her friend and lead her to be trolled, then she would have never dropped the video in the first place. In Sambhavna's words:

"If I had known this conversation would take such a turn and lead to Sana being trolled, I would have never posted the video. Why would I put up something that would bring negativity to my friend?"

Sana Khan has earlier faced backlash for her comment on women wearing skimpy clothes

Sana Khan has earlier appeared on Rubina Dillaik's chat show, wherein she shared that every man wants their wives to dress in a modest way. She further remarked that she doesn't understand the fact that how could even men allow their wives to wear skimpy clothes and be proud of the same. She questioned whether those men actually liked the comments like 'hot' directed towards their wives. Such a comment brought backlash to Sana, along with Rubina for not protesting the same.
