Alia Bhatt recently attended a promotional event for her upcoming film, Jigra, in Hyderabad. Samantha Ruth Prabhu and several other who's who of the South industry attended the event. For the day, Alia looked stunning in a black dress with white and blue checkered detailing. She completed her look with glamorous makeup and silver hoops. Taking the centre stage, Alia praised Samantha and said:

“My dearest Samantha, you are a hero on and off-screen. I have so much admiration for your talent, for your resilience, for your strength. It’s not easy to be a woman in a man’s world, but you have surpassed gender. You stand tall on your two feet, and you have your talent, and your strong kicks to be an example for everyone.”
Alia further shared that she feels like she and Samantha should do a movie together. She even requested Trivikram to write and direct a film for them. Alia added:
"And over here on this stage, not doing this for promotion, I genuinely mean it. Trivikram sir I think Samantha and I should be in a film written and directed by you. They say actresses usually compete with each other and all of that. But there’s no such thing. I am so, so grateful that today I have a pan India superstar here to support my film and say such kind words for my film.”
Hearing this, Samantha teared up and was seen warmly smiling at Alia Bhatt. Samantha looked divine in a pastel pink-hued wrap dress with drop-sleeve detailing. She styled her into a soft curl hairdo and finalised her makeup with nude makeup. Samantha too, showered praises on Alia Bhatt and said:
"Alia, you know how much I love you; the work that Alia does is so important; it reminds us that we are so much because she is backing her own projects, and she is taking a risk on herself."
Alia and Samantha's friendship has seemed to have levelled up, and we love the equation between them. In the event, Alia took the mic and revealed that doesn’t usually sing for people, but she will do it just because Samantha is here. She then sang Oo Antava, the track from Pushpa: The Rise featuring Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
